Ultimate Spider-Man - Talk Up!

I really liked the first two episodes of the show. I like seeing Nick Fury stepping up; it reminded me of his approach in Ultimate Spiderman except for now it feels like he's going to be on top of it more. Like he is with Miles I would say. As for Peter I liked the narration he does, I took it as his thought bubbles almost except they were breaking the fourth wall which I have no problem with. I like this incarnation of Aunt May she's pretty cool I would say. Heroes wise I can't wait for more of them to show up. The villains were pretty cool, it's nice seeing some of the lesser known villains get a spot in the show. Overall a good opener for Ultimate Spiderman and I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

I absolutely adore this series. I don't mind the humor and am enjoying it as much as the 90s Spider-Man Animated Series.

The animation style is perfect and I just can't get enough of those 'cute' expressions and chibi-Spideys.

Made a little something... the still makes it look like Spidey has a man-crush on Nick Fury. :P

Loved it. Some really good LOL moments. My favourite parts of the Ultimate run was when Kitty Pride, Ice Man and Jonny Storm all attended the high school so the super gang doing the same thing suits me fine.

I like the overall story, but there were a few things that bothered me. Those cut away gags could be very intrusive at times and just break the mood of certain scenes, I enjoy them for the most part, but it would be nice to have less of them in there. There's also something about Peter and MJ's animation models that bugs me, something about them just feels...off. Other than that, I enjoyed the episodes a lot, it looks GREAT when he's in the Spider suit and it generally had some really funny writing going on. (Spanish Spider-Man had me rolling) I love the idea of him leading a team of super heroes, we've already got what seems to be a cast of nice and diverse characters. (and the bit with the Luke Cage name card being replaced instantly by Power Man was hilarious)

While I don't think it's going to be anywhere near as good as Spectacular Spider-Man was, it should be a decent show. I'm still a little miffed that the best Spider-Man cartoon ever was ended for this, but I'll try to judge this thing on its own merits.
