Blade..this one really clicks me, this is the least i can take about main protag's fate after finishing his battle with hajime :anime:
and i'm still crying for kenzaki...until decade brings him again :redface2:

kuuga...almost the same fate with blade, a great conclusion for godai (again, i pity you shinji) and somehow i think kouta will go down this route too, of course with absolute complete awesome final fight..

is it wrong for me to think the battle in ending of the series have to be awesome, perfect or at least finished in a good way !? :170:

Blade's ending embodied the concept of the term "Kamen Rider"...

Self Sacrifice...you fight for those you care about...however, it comes with a price...even though you have friends and family that surround and care for you...you'll always forever walk the path of Justice...alone.

I gotta say that Mebius ending pretty much proves why Ultraman has endured all these years; it is a simple concept, but the themes of hope, teamwork and faith in the future are timeless. So yeah, it´s a tear jerker.

I know a lot of people don´t like Go-Onger, but that is one ending that really got to me. Say what you want about the show, the characters were fun and they grew on me, so at the end it was really hard to say goodbye.

That sums up the endings of most sentai, but the ending of Shinkenger was outstanding in these regard; seeing everyone part one by one until only Takeru remained was quite bittersweet. Even Ryounuusuke´s Dance got to me, it was silly yes, but it was silly in a Ryounuusuke kind of way and this was his very own way to say goodbye.

And finally the Black Ending.

This one doesn´t get as much love, but i always found it to be incredibly bittersweet; on the one side, Kotaro saved the world and peace reigned, but he lost all his family in the process, so even though he was free from all the fighting, it was no happy ending for him.

Still, he did what every Rider does; he carried his rage and his sadness and rode into the sunset, until the world needed him again.

But Blade's ending is sad because it is a pointless sacrifice. Hajime wasn't worth that. He can never really be human (which is also tragic, yes) and he never really becomes "good" ... everything he does around Haruka and Amane is ultimately futile because IT'S HIS FAULT THEIR HUSBAND/FATHER IS DEAD! They are not his family, it's more of a kind of "Stockholm Syndrome". Kenzaki however is a good person who throws everything away for Hajime

I don't necessarily disagree with you re: Hajime, but that's not why I find Blade's ending sad personally. Even if Hajime was able to become human, the most wonderful human who ever lived, I'd still find Kenzaki's sacrifice extremely sad because the idea of sweet, compassionate Kenzaki who absolutely loves being around people having to isolate himself from everyone for eternity is absolutely heartbreaking.

I agree.

Though if there's one good thing that can come out of being a cyborg, it's that you don't have to worry about getting something crazy like high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, etc., being immune to gun bullets, etc., & live longer lives.

I only half agree with this.

While it is true that Hajime will never be human and that there is no guarantee that he will be happy with Amane-chan and Haruka (just wait until Amane reaches puberty or her Mom gets tired of being single), Kenzaki´s sacrifice will never be pointless because he didn´t sacrificed himself to make Hajime human, he sacrificed himself to give Hajime the chance of being human.

This is something that rings true to the original idea of Kamen Rider; they are warriors that fight for Freedom and will protect people from those who try to take it away. In that sense, Hajime was cursed by his Fate of being the Joker and live a life of constant fighting, but Kenzaki´s actions essentially released him from that fate.

So you are right, there is no way to know if Hajime will truly be happy, he could be miserable for the next 2 centuries for all we know, but Kenzaki´s sacrifice is far from pointless because his actions allowed Hajime to choose a destiny of his own, which again, could lead to complete and utter misery, but it would be his own.

Even if he didn´t knew for certain, Kenzaki chose to believe that Hajime could find happiness, a belief he deemed worth fighting destiny for. That´s is what makes him a true Kamen Rider.
