Some toku endings bad? or misunderstood?

Jetman's ending is one of, if not *the* most boneheaded move in the history of henshin heroes. It was nothing more than Inoue trying to "shock" the audience, as it was a completely unnecessary and inappropriate ending to the series. Guess what? You want to rip off Gatchaman so much, just have the balls to completely lift the way they killed off Condor there. It was at least logical, emotional, and fitting -- everything the Jetman death wasn't.

Dairanger, I don't think is controversial, is it? The only issue I really had with it was that the ending was a bit too silly, but the show needed a sort of light way to wrap up after coming off a string of such intense episodes.

Timeranger's finale wasn't bad, I just didn't care for Tatsuya walking through the city and seeing exact doppelgangers of the cast (especially Naoto, which just made no sense). Even worse is how Toei has clung to this style of finale.

Kuuga's ending was fitting for that show. I thought the previous episode should have at least had a bit more with the Daguba showdown. But, it tied everything up, let you know where the characters' lives were headed after the credits rolled. Kuuga was all about bringing realism to henshin heroes, so this ending made sense.

Agito's was rushed. It wasn't a bad ending, I think people are a bit hard on it. The problem is that the show seems to have run out of money, because the last big battles -- which account for the first half of the episode -- look like they were filmed in some crew guy's backyard.

Faiz was a lost cause to begin with. It had a ton more problems than its nothing, forgettable finale.

Spielban, now that's a misunderstood finale. People really trash it when, while it takes a few viewings and a bit of fanwanking to make a little sense of, it was a creative ending. Metal heroes at that point were a bit formulaic, to say the least -- the Uchuu Keiji and Juspion had routine finales, so it was fresh for Spielban to come along with a little twist.

Now JAKQ or Ryuki -- those are some terrible finale episodes.

JAKQ was taken off the air suddenly, so they pretty much had to end it badly :/ It's to bad as that show was damn good. Jetmans ending is awful. That ending pretty much ruined the series for me. Faiz was just bad.

That's true, but Metalder, Changerion, and Ultraman Nexus were shows that were cut short, like JAKQ, yet I feel they still managed to have conclusions that were satisfying (for what they were).

JAKQ's finale...it seemed almost like the staff was pissed it got canned, so they purposely delivered the most disappointing work they could just to stick it to the network. :laugh:

Ryuki's Ending...I understood what it was trying to do, but even after watching the final 3 episodes several times, it felt like a cop out ending.

Shinji dies before the finale then gets ressurrected in the finale...what was the point of titling the series if the main wasn't going to last that long.:sly:

If Shinji died in the final episode then I'd probably lay off of this ending. Better yet, stayed dead so that Ren and the others can live. Heck, I would liked it if either Shinji, Ren, or Kanzaki took it in their own hands to strike down Yui to close the Mirror World.


As for the Hibiki...that series deserved a second series...not Den-O:laugh:
