Even if the WWE pays more, and I'm sure they do, working for ECW can't be too shabby a job. I'd say the pay there is better than 70% of other standard jobs out there.

Yeah, which is why it f-ing sucks that there is no more ECW. Monopolies suck.

You do know that mostly every ECW star is owed alot of money from thier work in the company right? Paulie couldn't afford to pay anybody the last couple of years ECW was in business.

So what happened to the "financial backing by Vince McMahon" thing?

Vince, at times, allowed some of his talent to perform at ECW shows during their off days. An example being when Tazz won the Heavyweight Title from Mike Awesome and the Dudleyz also worked a show from the Elk's Lodge in Queens. He also let his production team help them out with their video packages and whatnot. Vince also had Paulie on his payroll to compensate in some way for hitting up his talent roster. He probably helped out a little financially as well but he wasn't bankrolling the whole company.
