I wouldn't mind a soft reboot if it meant a better story or better entertainment value. As much as I liked the first 3 movies, even I can see the flaws in them.
But I'm not holding my breath. New cars and new actors, but that doesn't mean anything if we have the same director, writers, and staff members we've had since the beginning.

You know what I want in a live TF movie? Actual Transformers as the main characters and not what bay thinks TF's are.

This is suppose to be about Transformers yet we all know that the movie(s) will be about Wahlberg instead just like like the previous three were about LaBeouf.

You know, I tend to get tired of seeing comments like this.
The Transformers are the main characters of these movies, they and their war get plenty of screen time, even if they are using the humans to frame the story and explain all the exposition.
I can't speak for KingRanger, but most people who leave comments like that usually want humans to be non-existent in these movies. If that's the case, not only would it be pointless to bring them to Earth, but it'd be especially pointless to make a live action movie out of it. Might as well make it a 100% CGI cartoon movie, like a theatrical version of Transformers Prime or something, in which case they won't even bother spending money on the higher CGI budget that we've come to expect. Not using real sets or real people to contrast the robots with? Then there's no need to use top-of-the-line CGI to convince us that they're really there!
I enjoy constructive criticism, and even I have admitted to noticing a lot the flaws with the Transformers movies so far, but I get really tired of people who have nothing better to do than complain with comments like these. I feel like the movie they want has all ready been made, the animated movie from G1. Or maybe they want the movies to be based on something else, like the Energon and Cybertron TV series. Well, if that's what you like, then go watch that. This is a different Transformers universe for a different crowd.
That's because they AREN'T MINDLESS MACHINES. They are lifeforms, just like you and me, and the movies should highlight their human-like qualities. The story should show them having emotions, frailties, personalities, histories and life stories, friendships and relatives, the ability to act and think on their own, etc. That's where these movies fail, not in giving the Transformers enough screen time, but by not making them appear more human and more relatable, by not making their individual identities shine. The movies are too busy focusing on how the Autobot VS Decepticon war is affecting our planet. Not a bad angle to come from, but we should still be relating to the robots first and the humans second.
