Transformers The Japanese Trilogy Talk Up

Well I was thinking since Shout Factory has released the Transformers East Trilogy in the USA if anybody now is able to see Headmasters , Masterforce and Victory what do you guys think of it? Also if you guys saw it before the Shout Factory launch in March what are your opinions?

Transformers Headmasters -

Having 100 % finished it I felt that Headmasters tied up a lot of loose ends. There was the 3rd death of Prime. Also it was cool to see the train bots this time. I think they are my favorites. Most annoying was Mind Wipe with his "Blind as a bat in battle you'll be" drone after he hypno sonics the Autobots. Apart from him I liked it.

Transformers Masterforce -

At nearly 47% now I can say it's an interesting series. With the use of the God Master themes I can see why the US might not want to bring this over. So far it's turning out solid.

Transformers Victory -

Seen 2 of 37 released so far and it's actually pretty decent. They decided to go back to what Transformers was in the mid 80s. It's nice to see the classic G1 feel to it. So far I'm liking it. Have yet to see more before I give you guys a solid verdict.

My favorite was Masterforce, followed by Victory, then Headmasters.

I bought Headmasters and will eventually pick up Super God Masterforce and Victory. Very excited to do a Transformers watch and getting around to these shows

I enjoyed Choujin Masterforce and Victory a lot, primarily because they were a precursor to the Brave Series.

Masterforce reminded me of the Sentai format intermixed with the Sailor Moon format of introducing characters, so I liked that. Sort of bland in the beginning , but I hope it gets somewhat better. I like the humans being Transformers part most of all.

I've seen Headmasters, primarily through the dub. I wish they had it on DVD with the subbed Japanese version because its hilarious, no matter if it butchers it or not. Having a big part of TF history not there lowered the vlaue of these sets for me.

As far as I have seen Victory,.... cool series. I love Star Saber and what that evil guy's name is for the Decepticons. The dinosaur lackies are just so kawaii and hilarious.

Zone is like Bayformers but injected with tons of Nitro. If only the series actually were beyond an episode , it would not feel like a rush, but its overall a treat.
