I just watched the first episode of Might Gaine. It was very interesting. I liked it. It had a different feel than other animes that I watched.

Whoa, a lot of people mention Code Geass (even though it's more Real than Super..)

Here's some recommends in no real order:

-Both Grendizer Movies:
"UFO Robo Grendizer VS Great Mazinger" and "Grendizer, Great Mazinger, Getter Robo G: Kessen! Daikaijuu!"

These should be on EVERYBODY'S essentials list. Two of the best epic clashes to EVER grace the screen.

-Haja Taisei Dangaioh

Masami Oobari designed mechs, Ichiro Mizuki and Mitsuko Horie doing a duet for the theme song, and Akira Kamiya, the Godfather of Hot Blood as the leader? What more could you ask for in this OVA by the studio that brought you Bubblegum Crisis and Fight! Iczer-1?

-Mazinkaiser: Shitou! Ankoku Daishogun

Quite possibly the greatest of the Mazinkaiser OVAs and the closest we're gonna get to the Toei Manga Matsuri shorts.

-Shinkon Gattai Godannar!!

Again by the the studio that brought us BCG and Dangaioh comes this very "well-endowed" Action Comedy.

-The Romance Robot Trilogy:
Combattler V, Voltes V, and Tosho Daimos

I didn't exactly dig all of Combattler but Voltes and Daimos are masterpieces in their own right...just be prepared for a lot of cheese >_>

-Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster

Another OVA that should be on EVERYBODY'S essentials list. Awesome animation, great characters, plus the epic Episode Five "Super-Fight" that STILL manages to get me cheering after all these years

-Muteki Chojin Zambot 3

Yoshiyuki's Tomino guinea pig for the type of dramatic plotlines that would show up in Mobile Suit Gundam. One of the darkest pieces of mech anime since Zeta Gundam, if you throw your prejudices against older animation aside, you're in for a hell of a ride. Another fun one by Tomino...

In my review for OUSA, I called this show "Tomino's Happy Place". It's funny, insane in some places, but as action packed as you can get. VERY Underrated.

I could go on two pages about shows you should watch but those are the ones that stand out.

Nice! But what about Evangelion and Code Geass and Paltabor?

Everybody loves ninjas too! Not only Ganbarugar and others.

So why not thinking about NINJA ROBOTS?

Don't make me laugh! That's a psychological deconstruction, not a Super Robot anime! Not even close! Its even drearier than most Real Robot show ><

Not Super Robot. Geass is hardly robot at all!
