Over the passed Halloween, the 30 year old crossover franchise introduced its first genuinely bad guest series, the Trigger incarnation of Gridman, into its fold. It was known for not just being horrible on its own, but a ruination of what came before Before that the worst they ever had was TV Rayearth. Now their second DLC is bringing in Iron Blooded Orphans, the only bad TV Gundam entry, worst Gundam entry, and one of the worst mecha anime to ever be unleashed onto the masses and the Netflix version of Ultraman, a terrible anime in its own right and the only bad entry in the Ultra franchise. I mean none of them are as bad as Kamen Rider Build, the worst tokusatsu ever made, or 1/10 anime like Mob Psycho 100, but this is an unhealable wound. Rest in peace, Super Robot Wars. May the Gong be sounded. Christmas was ruined this year regardless of Covid.
