Yeah. Well, kinda. He was taken from earlier in time. LexZod was present time, released from the Phantom Zone. This Zod, Major Zod, is displaced from time, before he became a General.

Wow, even the comics version of Zod can't be that convoluted, also older brother Jimmy kinda rubbed me the wrong way from last season, seemed like it was an easy way out for how they treated Jimmy since Doomsday arrived on the show.

I was under the impression that this Zod is a clone based on the conversation in the premiere about the last thing they remembered was having their blood taken.

I saw Season 8.... I'm just confused creatively why they went with more of a...... confusing and convoluted option of getting Zod onto the show versus the Zod the show has already established.

They never really said what happened to LexZod after leaving his body but I assumed he died since his actual body was destroyed before he was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone. But yeah, this is a time displaced Zod

The panning around the Statue of Liberty set to a obvious rip of that laborious Begins/DK BGM just served to hang a lampshade on how they're trying too hard with the faux-Matrix/Punisher suit.
