Samurai Sentai Shinkenger - Talk Up!

Now then. I have one thing to say about Shinkenger........BEST FRICKIN' HEISEI SENTAI SERIES, EVER!!!!!!!

The final episode was so perfectly well-written. Love the suitless roll call at the end and the Shinkenger retainers bidding farewell to Takeru and best of all, the Pass The Torch sequence between Shinken Red & Gosei Red was uncanny.

I have to say, thanks for bringing the awesomeness back into Sentai, Toei. Arigatou gozaimasu, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and Sayonara.

Yeah, that kinda bothered me. I was hoping she would at least be sticking around.

You know the way people write those "misery porn" books about their tragic childhoods (a la Dave Pelzer?) Takeru could make a fortune. Chapter 22: "But even after we'd got rid of Doukoku, my troubles were still not over. That's when my mother heartlessly abandoned me ..."

Is it me, or does making Takeru, Kaoru's adopted son, make ZERO lick of sense?

I think it would've have been better if they forced him into marriage with Kaoru.

They would've produced some uber strong babies.

It makes sense because if they got married, like it was stated before in the rumor thread (I think), he still wouldn't be "the Lord", he'd just be the Princess' husband, as per tradition that lords are born/adopted into the family, not married into it. We get to see this with Mako's father, who took his wife's last name and acknowledges that his wife is the powerful one, he just married her.

*sniff* I just saw the Passing the Torch ceremony for Goseiger...I'm gonna miss that callous asshole...

I wish I knew how to do his little sword twirling thing. Thats pretty cool.

I really enjoyed the ending. My theory of Chiaki training to surpass Takeru by playing Tekken is foiled once again . . . or is it? :anime:

As mentioned before, marriage will only make Takeru the "husband of the 18th Head of the Shiba House", which won't make him the legal ShinkenRed. By being adopted by Kaoru, he automatically gets the title "19th Head of the Shiba House", and makes him legally the next ShinkenRed. All because of Japanese traditions.

I think it's more of adopting into the family, declaring him a member through an authoratative decision

It's creepier, by US standards at least, to marry someone like that. I suppose in Japan it's fine but...anyway...

I wonder, will there be a ShinkenGold in the next generation of Shinkengers, if another generation is needed that is.

hmm, that's a good question. I'm guessing if Genta has a child, he'll pass the sushi changer on to his son or daughter.

but then again, the Shinkengers aren't going to be needed ever again, as far as needing to protect takeru or defeating villiians because their villains are dead.

Only time they'll be summoned again is in a non-cannon team up. :disappoin

But hopefully will arise in the 35 anniversary too.

But what's having me laughing is someone actually marrying Genta. lmao
