Power Rangers RPM - "Ranger Yellow, Part 2" Talk Up!

Well, this was probably my least favorite episode of the series so far. That is not to say that this episode had no merit.

1. On camera death of a human being. I was wondering last week what happened to Andrews, but I thought he would either just be gone or would show up living in the city or found her parents and had protected them. Death wasn't even an option. So this was quite the surprise.

2. Wedding dress fight was pretty cool. However...

3. Origins of Dr. K. Honestly I wasn't even wondering about her origin. I thought she was just a "Billy" and was a super smart genius from birth and fell in to creating the Venjix virus. But the fact that she was probably in a think tank for her entire life, probably never seeing the outside world when it was still around lends to her agoraphobia.

4. Dillon and Scott not getting along. Good. They should never be very good friends.

The bad things about the episode:
1. I have, and never will be, a fan of casual talking during a ground battle with dozens of foot soldiers. We're still seeing that even though the rangers can handle them more or less, when in numbers, they can be overwhelmed. Some banter here and there is fine, but not full on exposition.

2. Stereotypical rich people acting. But this is to be expected, so meh.

3. If the camera bot was so powerful, and if the G6 was introduced with it, then why not have the Supermegazord debut here as well? That would have made more sense. But all the wacky wedding stuff took too much time out of the episode.

4. Episode felt way too rushed and didn't flow too well. Not like previous episodes that felt just right in length to make you think it was longer than it was, but good because you wanted to see more.

Heck, the wedding episode from Wild Force is way better than this.

You know, Summer's wedding dress should've torn during fighting time. That'd be so hot. But... meh. The wedding dress was never scratch or torn.

Is there a "why" as to why you felt this episode was lame? :sly:

Actually Lens Banki used his dying energy to take pictures of the Go-on Grand Prix and GanbaruOh Grand Prix finishers, allowing the three ministers to work together and create Mirror Banki who could counter the finishers. Luckily Ren had anticipated the need for more power and was already working on retooling the Engine Casts to allow for the G6 formation.

And seriously I'm starting to feel the villains are all talk and no game. I mean we're supposed to accept these...pathetic clockwork grunts took over the world when ZIGGY can beat back a few of them with a SHOPPING CART?!

And the Camera Bot was supposed to destroy the city. It didn't get off ONE ATTACK! Nothing to prove its power! What kind of climax for an episode is that?!

In the end you have to wonder why they even USE the mecha footage in the first place! I mean we know the Ranger toys are more popular than the zord toys but...wouldn't be better to try and...you know...promote them?

All that because they refused to make the Zords characters in their own right. I bet if they had gone the Engine-tachi route the zord toys would have sold better than usual!

Plus we'd get the batgirl effect! In The Batman when they introduced Batgirl and later Robin it allowed Bruce to regain his serious side and still keep humor going as Barbara and Dick exchanged witty banter. Make the carricatural character zord crack wise and the Rangers can stay more serious and focus!

MMPR Productions was still doing the work, but the money to film Wild Force came 100% from Disney. Saban Entertainment had no involvement in the series whatsoever.

Then what's with the Saban logo at the end of this Wild Force promo?

Cause they still owned it at the time. When they stopped airing preludes and went right to the OP is when Disney started to get acknowledged.
