I only picked up Superior Spider-Man 20 from Marvel today and it was a solid issue. It felt like it was on the filler side but it seems like it was needed to move the plot forward. I still believe that Superior Spider-Man Team Up is the superior book of the two out right for me at least. I only picked this issue up on a whim since I saw Black Cat was going to be in it but man it was a very short but funny role I would say.

That's going to bit Peter once he is back as Spidey....

Blah, it's just Slott resetting everything back to "loser Peter" when he comes back. How droll. And you wonder why, outside of stunts like this, the sales have been in the toilet? They repeat the same old stale tired beats. I'd much rather see Peter and MJ as parents.

After six years, Slott is a tired writer who contributes nothing but shlock storytelling packed with uncharacteristic behaviour.

How can Felicia not tell something's up? Why is everyone, including the Avengers and MJ, mentally retarded when it comes to Ock? Could someone please just undo OMD and retcon this whole mess out of canon? I know it'll happen when people who grew up in my era take over at the company, but I wish the current regime would see sense already. Maybe the current time travel storylines are going to lead to a massive undoing of all the company's lousier ideas over the years somewhere down the line

Thank god the newspaper strip still has the status quoe I grew up with, even if it is corny as all hell

This could be interesting and the fact that the Runaways's original artist is involved means it will look good. And of course over the net we have the HORRIBLE comments from people either being bigots or those complaining but having no idea that Carol is currently Captain Marvel and not Ms. Marvel (aka the same stuff happening when Miles was announced as the new Ultimate Spider-Man).

You got to understand Dan Slott isn't responsible for things like no one being able to figure out that Ock is Spider-Man. Those big decisions come from the editors-in-chief and other editors (writers are basically told what they can and can't do), it's not fair to put down Slott when he's working under such tight restrictions, you should evaluate his entire body of work before jumping to conclusions

For the most part, I've loved Superior Spiderman. Otto might be morally gray at best, but at the end of the day all he has done has been with heroic intentions and for what he reasons to be the greater good. At one point he even considers going hero 24/7. His biggest fault is that he fails to see the bigger picture and it's to focus with plan that he can't even fathom any deviation from it, which I love since it's usually a villain's weakness, so it's interesting seeing it on a hero.

My favorite part of the book is the small moments when Otto contemplates about his role as a hero, like when the little girl thank him for curing her or when Fulmina sacrifices herself to save New York. My only hope is that, when Peter returns, Otto gets to stay alive somehow and as an anti-hero.

First off, you can't blame anyone other than Quesada and JMS for the current mess that is Spider-Man. Slott I wager is trying to make the best of a bad situation in the hopes they will finally let him do his Reckoning War story he has been seeding for about a decade.

Anyway new Ms. Marvel. Just two comments. Anyone else get the feeling in contrast to the previous Marvels she is going to get her from a Skrull source. Could tie in with Hulkling while we are at it too. Also what the hell is up with Hulk Hand porcupine? It just raises so many questions.

J Michael Straczynski? He's done panels where he's talked about his time on Amazing Spider-Man and said it was one of the worst experiences of his life because Marvel told him what stories to tell and what direction to take the book

I never really believed that. JMS is one of the highest profile comic writers in the last decade. Who let's be honest doesn't really need comic work to get by. If he honestly wanted his name off the book he would have walked. He wasn't some rookie writer, hell we refer to him by three letters and have no question about who we are talking.

Well everyone knew this was coming but now we have date. Star Wars is coming to Marvel in 2015, leaving Dark Horse after over 20 years. I do wonder how they are going to handle it though. An ongoing is almost a given, the question is more when in continuity than anything else. My best guess would probably be a bridge between Jedi and Episode VII.

The question is when is Marvel going to start publishing more titles based off Disney properties. I want more Gargoyles damn it. Could you image Xanatos going up against Tony Stark, they levels of smug would kill us all!
