Kamen Rider W Returns - Eternal Talk Up!

It's mind-boggling to think that Sanjo and Hasegawa were thinking that far ahead. When was Kazu introduced? Was he introduced after Isaka's death? It'd be plausible for Sanjo and Hasegawa to have written Double Forever's story beforehand and implement that into the series story, but wow. Some careful planning there, contrary to how OOO's story worked behind the scenes.

Jun being a Never was shown in the show itself though, look at his death. The only new bit about him here is Jun being psychic, while beforehand it was thought that his abilities were due to his Gaia memory.

Even before that.

If I'm not mistaken, he was revealed to be a NEVER right after Saeko betrays and tries to kill him with the Taboo Memory.

Yeah, you're right. She uses it to protect her sister when Ryuu was set on fire, but he just gets up and says he's one of the undead NEVER. Although this plot was a bit lost on some people at that point because we didn't get to see the movie which was released before that point in Japan, but the DVD didn't come out for another 5 months.

Same with the "Futo tower has been rebuilt" with no explanation.

Yeah, the big weakness of W's ending is that it all seems to really come out of left field unless you've seen the movie. If you slot the move into its proper place in W's viewing order, I think after episode 44, then it's a bit clearer what the show is doing and how the tone is shifting gears.

(I also think the movie thing is probably why W's ratings slide after the defeat of Terror. People who didn't want to see the movie or who didn't know that it introduced the NEVER stuff probably found the last five or so episodes really confusing and frustrating.)
