I'm starting to find OOO more and more appealing the more we learn about it. It also though makes me hate the forced comedy even more.
I'm also actually finding an appeal in the bajillion forms. I think we're all used to seeing clearly defined form changes, thus having a show with such infinite mix-and-match capabilities is so jarring. But it seems OOO really only has six complete, "real" forms that correspond to each Greed tribe. (Shitochi, Gatakiriba, Sagozo, etc.) The rest aren't really "forms" per say but rather just abilities that can be used when needed. (But of course we know Toei won't have the sense to market it that way and just call everything an official form.) Thus the "infinity + 1" thing in ep. 2 makes some sense, as OOO literally has infinite capabilities.
If you think of OOO's concepts (like the Candoids and constant medal switching) like aspects in a video game, it doesn't seem as strange. At least that's what I'm finding.
