No, I never said that about Eiji. There is a difference between a jerk and someone who doesn't smile and doesn't hold hands with everyone.

A shot in the dark here, I guess you believe Ryu Terui is a jerk aswell?.

Terui Ryu was a jerk, but he's now awesome. He's one of my favorite Riders.

Ryu was like that because he lost his family to Isaka and wanted revenge to the point where he would either attack Dopants in human form or forsake innocent people. But thanks to being around Shotaro & co, Ryu was able to let go of his hatred. As well as forgave Shroud for her oversight.

His hatred for Dopants was intense. It gave him power, but he's still strong through a change of determination from revenge to justice.

It just means that the character being portrayed is working. Kusaka's character from Faiz was great at doing that...

People hate Kusaka's charater - that's true... It means that the character's portrayal was working.... Have you not seen dramas? It's to make the lead come out more. Just my opinion...

Yes. If you don't love to hate Kusaka, then dramas probably don't suit you.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean we have to like him.

I won't deny that the actor was fantastic at playing a complete douchebag, but there's a difference between someone being unlikable but workable like, say, Asakura and someone that you just want to see die.

I liked Asakura more than Kusaka for some reason. Yes, there's a big difference between unlikeable characters and characters you wish never existed and what not.

So do you think Goto should be 100% trusting of Eiji and Ankh? We don't even know the whole story behind OOO and the Greeds, there could very well be a good reason not to trust them beyond the mere fact that Ankh is a Greed.

I think it's reasonable for Gotou to be aware of OOO and Ankh.

What I do think is to be considered a real deal is that, Eiji can be trusted, but can OOO?

Once again, we know that there's a story behind OOO. We don't know what Eiji will "regret" if he uses OOO's power, according to the Mantis Yummy, but we do know that Eiji is a straight out happy hobo. OOO and Eiji can be considered two different beings. As Eiji, he's all willing to help people and is no harm to anyone, but as OOO, there's a darkness that dwells inside the OOO Driver we may not know off. Whatever it unleashes, Eiji may as well be corrupted by it later as well.

With Ankh, he may be a Greeed, but we have seen him here and there, and I'm pretty sure that judging by the opening alone, he's gonna get soft for Hina and might as well start to have human feelings.

He's hardly the most trustworthy person himself, is he? He must know the only reason he's the sole survivor of the motorcycle patrol is that Kougami wanted him alive ...

Yes, that. Even purely from the writing perspective, making him the second Rider is lazy - he's the most obvious and predictable candidate for the role and he's no different from any other standard secondary Rider figure
