Kamen Rider Ichigo/Nigo

So, I've been thinking about this lately, with the release of SHF KR Shin Ichigo. From what I can tell, there are at least three different versions of Ichigo/Nigo...

1. "Original" (As I know it) In which both have the same color scheme, except for their gloves/boots (1 is silver, 2 is red)

2. "The First/The Next" versions. Much more modern look, more streamlined, and separate color schemes (1 is blue, 2 is green)

The third, is the one I can't really find any definitive information about. It's basically 1+2. Old school look, with the new color schemes. So my questions would be, are these the only versions of Ichigo/Nigo, and where does this third version come into place in the KR Universe?

Basically what you showed were the FINAL designs for Ichigo and Niigo.

At first Ichigo looked like the image above me, while Niigo had a darker helmet and different gloves. They both evolved into the final forms, Niigo with red gloves and Ichigo....as Ichigo.

Like mentioned above, the looks that you call "original" were actually their final forms.

In the first 13 episodes of the tv show, #1 had the same colors that The First version has, mostly black and blue.

When he returned later, he looked even darker and now had a green colored suit. Those colors are also used for the revamped movie design in The Next.

Finally, when #1 becomes the main character again, he gets his final form (and a bunch of new abilities) with the silver gloves and boots. That form has no modern redesign equivalent in the First/Next movies.

Number 2 starts with green gloves and silver strip. The First/Next design for Rider 2 is based on this, but, rather than a thick silver strip, he just has a thin green one.

When he leaves the show and eventually returns as a secondary character, he gets the red gloves and boots and a helmet similar to Rider 1's final one. Like in Rider 1's case, his final design never got an update in The First/Next movies.

Here's a color guide for their looks in the original series:

Number 2 received a minor redesign when he returned midway through V3, gaining a black helmet similar to his original one. That design change lasted up until ZX. However, when he returned during Black RX, and in every appearance afterwards, he got the helmet that looks identical to Rider 1's again, returning to his second look.

Wow, thanks for all the information guys. It was a pain (at least for me) to find anything regarding the change in appearance over the course of the original series, but NeonZ really summed it up pretty well. :castlerock:

Actually, if you look carefully in NEXT, Ichigo's jacket has gained a double stripe (green) down the sleeves. This would be the reference to the modern version of Ichigo.

is supposed so... if THE NEXT didn't blew the whole series... i was hoping for a modern tragic rider man... damn that horror themed writer....

Hahaha maybe there's a third movie from the First/Next movie series then?

Not after The Next bombed so badly. It only made 913,844 dollars if you convert the yen values (Well, it'd be better to have the numbers in yens, but, in this case, they're so low it really doesn't matter).

Also, it'd make no sense to release remake movies now that the original Rider 1 is making occasional appearances again.
