Yep, as Ukiya said, G1 is a G3 with a Kuuga color-scheme since it was hinted in the 1st 2 episodes that the G-suit was made to fight the enemies of Unidentified Lifeform # 4. The designs are according to the SIC Hero Saga edition which is some sort of a "what if" short story.
