Kamen Rider Decade, was it a complete disappointment?

It's one thing to have to sit through a terrible series, it's another to have that series actively neutering future series from beyond the grave.

The idea is not to overuse a concept. Since there so many different ways to have an anniversary series instead of simply bringing back all of the Riders. Like in Kabuto there were so many references to the older shows. If Fourze just have the Rider Club discuss the past Riders, that will be fine too.

That's the one thing I love of the Heisei Riders. It's that they always re-invent the series to where they don't wind up telling the same story every year.

I can't say Decade was a complete disappointment. I REALLY want to but I can't


However, as a series that started out with a massive amount of potential and in many of the first few story arcs, seemed poise to capitalize on it, its ending and over lack of direction other then to open the path for future adventures of Decade and other Rider crossovers was a massive let down.

I really liked the characters (save Yuusuke Godai although that was more plot related and butt monkey status then anything the character did besides being a doormat) but that plot was such a cluster f--k at the end any good will is wipe out by the end of The Final Chapter and not even the cool opening Rider kick and treating Tackle right could make up for it.

What? Then what about that Rider 1 picture and magazine article about appearing as a urban legend? And also the brief clip in the online promo? Are they changing things in the last minute now?

Sometimes I think that it's overkill to just bring back every Rider just because it's an anniversary.

Well no one expects Toei to bring back all 52+ Riders, do they? But the main stars isn't asking too much. At least try to bring back as many as possible. Ultraman keeps doing it somehow.

What I meant was the idea itself to bring back every past Rider for an anniversary is overkill. Especially since it was done for Decade & Let's Go Kamen Riders. However there other ways to have an anniversary show. Right now Gokaigers is doing the same thing as Decade. Hopefully when the next anniversary comes in 5 years, they'll do something different for both shows.

Going to say yes but at the same time all in all it was still entertaining ... Looking at what they are doing with gokai though decade could have been 10 times better than it was

I don't think they need to bring back every last guy like in Decade (which didn't even really manage that), but I do want to see some past Riders show up in Fourze or even a later show (team-ups need not be limited to anniversaries, IMHO, though Fourze has a pretty good set-up for them to happen.) I would like them to give the older actors one more shot anyway, since those guys aren't going to be around forever. Even if it's only like 2-3 episodes near the end of the series, I'd be happy with that.

It really bothers me though that what really happened to Narutaki at the end of Movie Wars 2010 after we've seen him in colonel Zol uniform then de morphs & say 'ONORE DECADE!' for the last time.

Yeah, you wondered that after the first promo after ep. 31's ending we would have gotten a better explanation about Narutaki's "True" Identity?!
