...I have never been so disappointed in a Kamen Rider movie since Blade...no wait, Ryuki...no, wait, BOTH (especially Blade's Junichi ass...).
I'm at that point where I actually think the Den-O movies (except the Den-O/Kiva mash-up) were better...I liked how Den-O's movies were a sort of continuation.
Ore Tanjou! - middle of series
Sareba! Final Countdown - Epilogue to the series
Cho Den-O - sorta continuation, and at the same time, it seems a bit AU. They did pull a Climax Deka, though...
I can't find a place in this (Decade) series for the movie to fit, so it kinda pisses me off a lot...I thought it would've fit before the last two episodes (30 and 31), but...
[hide]The Dai Shocker castle collapsed...[/hide]
Now people may bring up points (of spears) against me, so I'm gonna say a few things (to start). I'm actually pretty strong......okay, enough joking.
GodSpeed Love - it served as a prequel AND an AU, which is actually one of the best things I've seen.
Paradise Lost - despite mostly being an AU, it served the question of "what if." Despite not displaying Delta, Paradise Lost did pretty well as a "what if" movie.
Now here are the movies that I was actually disappointed in, but not as much as the Decade movie.
Episode Final - Seriously, it ended in a cliffhanger...it served as an AE (alternate-ending) than AU, but it changed things around from the series (the main part of the Ryuki franchise), such as
[hide]Yui's purpose in the battle, even though she dies anyway. Actually...thinking about that, I think the purpose was the same (since she would die on her 20th birthday), but the part about knowing Shinji and creating a mirror version of herself....I don't like that.
Cliffhanger...the ONLY TIME Shinji and Ren used their Survive cards. Shinji could have used it against Ryuga, but he kicked Ryuga's ass without it...giving him SOME merit.
Ouja Blank Form...'nuff said (it's positive, actually! =D)[/hide]
Missing Ace - I won't say AE, even though it is. But I WILL say one word. One, and ONLY one word.........Junichi.
I wasn't a fan of AE movies, and I can't help but see this Decade movie as an AE movie. Although, not legitimately an "ending" to the series, in the right mind, one can see it as a "positive ending" compared to the negative aspect of Movie War 2010 that followed the series' end.
Edit:
BTW, this criticism is based on the KR movies I've seen. So don't pull a Project G4 or Ryuki Special or Seven Demon Warriors or King of Hell's Castle (was there even a continuity in that?!) on me.
