Kabuto - Still the best.

There was also a really annoying shy girl in there somewhere that had something to do with something.

Was there a story? All I saw was some arrogant, egotistical, overpowered, punk-ass mary-sue in a bug outfit beat the **** out of other dudes in scary getups.

...and Decade's not?:sly:

It was like Justin Wong in a MvC2 tournament...

Where's the Parry when you need it.

Thus starting an annoying trend that would continue on to this day.

Decade's likable, at least. Kabuto would just scoff at the thought of friends and go "Foo I ain't yo' friend, but I'll gladly make you my bitch"

Plus, Natsumi-kan and her laughing pressure point attack >>>> anything Jyuka would come up with (if anything).

I like Kabuto and think it's a great series. I'm not to sure if Faded would have been into KR I had started her on something like Agito or Kuuga. Maybe 555 since it's a plot deals with the same type of issues as the mutants do in Xmen. Sadly I have also yet to get her to watch Blade.

While it's not my #1 KR series, it's still in my top 5.

I always found it hard to watch this program. The idea of the Rider fighting creatures that looked like walking peapods never really caught on to my interest.

Clock Up was cool though . Kind of like a tribute to Ishinomori's Cyborg 009's Acceleration Mode.

I agree with the comment someone made about the word "best", or even "worst". Yes they are connected by a common thread (no pun, I swear) I just don't think that type of ranking works here. I dunno.

Anyways I enjoyed Kabuto well enough. Yeah there was a couple balls dropped but I thought the designs were all kinds of kickass and I liked most of the characters. And even with it's lack of Hoppers I find myself firing up God Speed Love a lot when I need a random film to watch.

But speaking of the Hoppers; I love them. I truly do. It may be the cool or "in" thing to make fun of "emos" and I'm just as guilty of that as the rest of us - But I think they acted the part amazingly well and I watch them and I see the sense of brotherhood as well as the sense of loss and pain that we're supposed too. We were treated to Kageyama's turn to darkness so really I just wish we could have seen Yaguruma's. And maybe fix up their ending story progression but for what we got, I still have to say I love them to death. They remain some of my favorite KR characters.

And thank you for the kind words about my video

Now if you'll excuse me, back to fixing my Yaguruma cosplay before ACEN.

EDIT:

I agree. Kabuto is the best at style for Heisei riders. Just exactly like how Twilight is the best at style for vampire movies.

NO. Just, no.
