But I am curious, what exactly about it is it that you don't enjoy?
Although it's lamebrained to do an anniversary show and, you know, not include anybody from the show you're supposed to be celebrating, even overlooking the recasts and reimagining, I think the show's just a really poorly written mess. And not even entertaining! (Thanks for another winner, Shou Aikawa.) Almost like the show exists to make previously horrible entries look better. "Hey, you thought Ryuki eventually started sucking? Well, our ridiculous Law & Order: Nippon reimagining will make Yui monster drawings and Goro-chan death speech recipes look like freaking Agito!"
It goes beyond the recasting, too. Put in Joe Odagiri or Takamasa Suga and, hey, while it's cool to see them, if they were in the show as it is now, it would be a HUMONGOUS letdown.
I don't see the appeal of the show. The original characters are flat and uninteresting; what's so great about all the suits slugging it out? And, fine, it's a revamped/reimagining/remake/reboot -- I don't find what they're doing to be interesting. It's heavily diluted versions of the real shows. Like, you know when a movie or show has a really forced and pointless comic book spin-off, or novelization, and they're usually pretty damn awful? That's been Decade so far. An interesting concept, terrible execution. But that's been most of the Heisei Rider shows, so maybe it IS an appropriate anniversary series.
I only like a few of the Heisei Rider shows, and I still feel like this show's an insult, so I don't understand how some of you huge Rider fans can like this show.
