Kabuto - Still the best.

He seem to be the god of Kamen Riders before Deacde, but Tendou still better then Tsukasa because he knows his goal in life and even survive from death twice in his childhood and Gattack.

Amen! As much of a jerk he appeared to be, he still was on top of things and always knew what to do, even if it seemed wrong or messed at the time.

Better then Den-O which the main character barely fights and overshadow by Imagins in story. Wataru was boring character to be placed in KR series ever and overshadow by his father. Tendou protects everything even seem lame.

I never really liked Tendou that much I find him a boring character with no development and is simply a walking hax that makes all other Riders completely useless, the way he just appeared in the Final Episode and destroyed that meteorite with a flower was just like wtf? to me.

Personally I find Kagami more interesting as a character, who actually develops in the series.

For Grongi vs Unknown, I see it this way, the weakest Unknown are more powerful than the weakest Grongi but the strongest Grongi are more powerful than the strongest Unknown.

And Shouichi outright stated himself he didn't know what he was doing the first few times he fought as Agito.

Also they flat out state Agito's power doesn't do anything to drive people crazy the users drive themselves crazy.

My main gripe with Kabuto is that there are too many Riders. The Story cant handle them all in a good and reasonable way.

The Season would have worked better if it just were Kabuto,TheBee,Gatack and Dark Kabuto...maybe Sasword. But Drake and the Hoppers were just pointless. Exept fighting a few Worms those three did not help the story to develop better neither were they likeable characters most of the time.

The whole story with Gon was sad and such things but that could have easily been in there without Daisuke being a Rider.

They should have dropped those three and concentrate more on the Tendou/Hyori thing and the whole ZECT plotting story elements.

Thats what I like about shows like Blade. They have not many story lines but those who are in the series work really well and every Rider and supporting character semms important for the flow of the storyline.

Kabuto's the first Rider series I watched all the way through, so I'm very partial to it. While there's a bunch of plotting issues (uh, The Bee and its' importance or Red Shoes, for example), the things that keep me hooked on the series are CLOCK UP and Tendou being... well, Tendou. All things considered, anytime I recommend Kabuto to someone, I just tell them to watch the movie. Series wise, I'll stick with the Tsurugi arc, anything with the Hoppers, and the final two episodes. Something about the music during the final fight where Tendou, Kagami and Mishima face off (Tendou, after CASTING OFF, just calmly waiting before the battle starts is plain badass) just awesome.

Oh yeah, there's a Tak Sakaguchi extended cameo in the show that is way too much fun. Someone get that guy a long term role on a Rider show...

The problem wasn't lots of Riders (Though I agree about the Hoppers. A bunch of overrated deadweights, they are.) The problem was that Yonemura and Co. didn't have a clue how to use them in a way that made them useful. They just satisfied Bandai's quota and left them hanging afterward. The scenario of Kabuto, where Tendou makes friends and enemies (Rider or not) in his journey to destroy ZECT and the Worms, is a good one in theory.

Ryuki and Hibiki are examples of shows with lots of Riders that still have some use in one way or another. (With Ryuki, the Riders were all essentially antagonists of each other and all contributed to each other's development. With Hibiki, it's enough to know that Oni are all over Japan and that they travel frequently.)

The thing I alway liked about Hibiki and how the show handled the Onis was that they did not try to give them as much Fokus as the main rider has.
The most of them didn´t really had character at all or names.
They appeared once in a while got beaten up so that one of the main Onis Hibiki,Ibuki or Todoroki could finish their job.

This was IMO a great way to handle so much riders without interfering in the main story line or the development of the main characters.
