Heisei Actors Reunite for DECISIVE BATTLE! THE SUPER 8 ULTRA BROTHERS

I remember reading one of the early magazine articles about the movie which repeatedly said the Ultra Brothers had "forgotten" their true identities. Take it with a grain of salt, I guess, but perhaps there is more to this alternate universe than there seems?

I don't really like doing wild fanboy speculation, but maybe an obvious one could be these are the characters we know and love who have been pulled in together from their own dimensions to this world where Ultraman is just fiction, and are being manipulated - their mind and all - by the big bad guy? That would explain why the articles said they had "forgotten" who they really were.

I'm not saying that's what's going to happen, but until the movie is released, I see no point in not staying open minded and optimistic.

dude thats exactly what i was thinking, but there is stiill Daigo Asuka and Gamu, which in the trailers show they grew up watching Ultraman.

this is my theory:
The way i see it,Hipporito saw himself in another universe fighting the ultra bros. eventually being defeated by father,so Super Hipporito saw this and took his versions of the Ultra Bros. and Flung them into another Dimension.

all this is realy making my head hurt, but in a good way,i haven't speculated like this since Doctor Who.

It should be something like that. Like I mentioned before, the trailer showed Daigo, Asuka and Gamu like 5 years old in 1966 (according to trailer). If the year is 2008 in the movie, they will be like 50 years old (holy cow). So there must be something to do with time and dimensions.

By the way, nice translations Ballard.

Also, official site updated with video featuring, Gamu !

I'm definately seeing this for Daigo/Tiga.

Same here, without him I'd be no where near as excited for this movie. For some reason he just got how being Ultraman should work, and his character is the best Ultra yet because of it!

Also, I should be getting my Spark Lens from the film sometime next week, I'm so excited!!!!!

Depending on this being canon or not, I'm really interested in Shin and seeing how he survived the end of the series.
