GARO: Makai Senki - Talk Up!

Wow just watched episode 23
[HIDE]
It was AWESOOOOMEEEE!!!! the scene when Kouga, Rei and Tsubasa appeared with their horses and Waga na wa garo in the background gave me goosebumps. Was nice to see Shiguto again.

This final battle is so epic, with all the Makai Knights and priests involved. I just can´t wait for the next episode, though I´m a little sad because will be the final episode.[/HIDE]

Don't end the episode there! ARGH!!

Now that's out of my system.

[HIDE]An excellent episode though. And yes that moment where Kouga, Rei and Tsubasa got the blood pumping. And all the other Makai Knights and Priests showing up to help was awesome. Now while I realize there's a budgetary reason for the lack of diversity in the armors beside the color. But I wonder if there's a story reason why Kouga, Rei, Tsubasa, Leo and Wataru have a more unique look, maybe something to to with the hierarchy in the Knight's structure. And might I add it's good to see that Leo's horns are more than just decorative since he gave that one Horror a nasty headbutt lol. Also I like how Kouga seemed to believe that Ganon had influenced Sigma all along. Perhaps wanting to believe him and Leo couldn't have been that different.[/HIDE]

Only one more episode left. damn it, I want it to get here faster, than again I don't want it to end anytime soon.

For some really weird reason, I get a feeling it won't end just here. I get the feeling we'll be getting a movie and a new series pretty soon. Don't know why, but it's just a hunch...

I can see another special, ala Beast of the White Knight, but a third series might be awhile. And I don't remember if it was in this thread or the one in the Orb section, the show creator said the cast had essentially "graduated" from their roles and a new series would focus around Leo. So if he is going to do one it might take awhile to build a cast of characters and a story line around him.

EDIT: Okay it was this thread, according to Aoi Amemiya said on his Twitter that the current cast is done. I guess the Leo part was speculation.

Great episode. It's hard to believe that we're already at the end of the series. I want more.

[hide]I was wondering about the armor, too. Personally, I figure that the knights in the more simplistic armor are probably lower ranking or more minor knights. These are the guys that don't have a lineage for their knighthood or any specific area that they have to watch over - like if Garo, Zero, and the others are officers and these guys are just enlisted. I'm sure that's not how the Makai Order works, but it's the best theory I can come up with to explain the CGI cost-cutting.[/hide]

They already explained that in the kiva gaiden; they are the knights with no tittle

Personally, I do like the fact that there's a hierarchy within the Makai Knighthood. GARO as the Golden Knight is already the most decorated and the most powerful among the knights anyway, and so it would make sense that other knights like Rei, Leo, and Tsubara are also unique and sit on top of the pyramid.

As for this episode...[hide]I think this pretty much is the LOTR of GARO episode. I think while the first series was terrific, there's that lack of scale involved, because while Massiah was going to destroy the world, there was only Kouga and Rei there to stop her. But in this series, we have all the Makai Priests and Knights combine forces to stop Edea, and thus we really get the sense that it's the end of the world as we know it.

I do wish Kaoru would have more things to do after saving Kouga from the abyss, but I guess the matter of the fact is that Makai Senki is simply not involving her like the first series did. If this will indeed "graduate" all the cast involved in the series, then I hope they will give us a satisfactory ending for Kouga and Kaoru, because I feel that ultimately, the story is about them and the bond they forged with each other.[/hide]
