As for this episode...[hide]I think this pretty much is the LOTR of GARO episode. I think while the first series was terrific, there's that lack of scale involved, because while Massiah was going to destroy the world, there was only Kouga and Rei there to stop her. But in this series, we have all the Makai Priests and Knights combine forces to stop Edea, and thus we really get the sense that it's the end of the world as we know it.[/hide]
[hide]I've some thoughts regarding that; I think in the first serie, the whole Kiba and Messiah deal simply just took the whole Makai Knight's community by surprise. They didn't know Kiba was alive until near the end, or even where he was at that time. Moreover, if it wasn't for the fact that Kaoru was in contact with Kouga during that time, I don't think they'd have even known that Kiba was plotted to release Messiah upon this world. :laugh: Everything was planned in secrecy till the very end, unlike this time around, where Sigma began to brand the knights and declared the war with them in a more opened manner. Thus his action involved more people and made everybody reacted. While in the first serie, only Kouga and Rei were close to Kaoru, therefor only they've got the chance and the time to react and do something about it. LOL[/hide]
[HIDE]I do wish Kaoru would have more things to do after saving Kouga from the abyss, but I guess the matter of the fact is that Makai Senki is simply not involving her like the first series did. If this will indeed "graduate" all the cast involved in the series, then I hope they will give us a satisfactory ending for Kouga and Kaoru, because I feel that ultimately, the story is about them and the bond they forged with each other.[/HIDE]
Kouga & Kaoru...
[HIDE]Like Gajari asked Kouga if he still sees the light at that time, and strongly reminded him not to let it disappeared from his sight. I think Kaoru since at the end of the first serie, has been Kouga's light and hope, something for him to protect with his life. Kaoru has to exist to give hope for Kouga's endless battles with the Horrors. Just imagined a knight without anything personal to protect, will sooner or later get tired of this neverending war, and even strays from the path. If he doesn't end up like a fighting machine first though. (Reminding: The conversation between Kouga and the Makai Dragon in the first serie.) :thumbs: LOL
Therefor, eventhough, Kaoru doesn't spend much time with Kouga in this serie, but as long as he does everything in his power to protect the world she lives in. I think that's enough for Kouga though. :anime:[/HIDE]
Regarding the last page of the picture book, I think it will forever remain a secret between Kouga and Kaoru only. LOL I think we'll just have to leave it with that and move on for now. :laugh:
