Fiveman, is it any good?

Decided a bit ago to shell out some money for another sentai series and was looking at them and saw fiveman. then I realized I have barely ever heard anything in the fandom on fiveman before, which isn't exactly promising on the shows part but since I've basically seen all the classic sentai shows anyway (excluding liveman, which I got but need to really watch, carranger, and megaranger.) I'm not all that hoping it's gonna be a classic, just a good sentai to watch. but I would like to know if it's any good before I shell out the money for it. anyone see it and if so, how was it?

I've always thought Fiveman was a pretty decent series, though it does seem to be the one Sentai that goes underexposed (not over or underrated, just underexposed) more than any other series for some reason. I know some people thought it was a pretty dull series because it was the last series written by someone who had done seven or so Sentai in a row and his fatigue seemed to be showing since it apparently takes a lot of points from older series and mashes them together in a not-so-spectacular way...but I always liked the series, quite a bit. The rivalry between the rangers and the villains was pretty fun to watch, as was the whole "making rangers teachers" thing.

It also has like, the single best ending song ever.

Fiveman truly has not been in the radar for a while. Though I still recommend, as it is my favorite series in Super Sentai. Even though I havent really finished it, I enjoyed what i have watched so far. I mean, if u liked Magiranger and it's family full of rangers. Then you might enjoy this, cause thats where Magi got this from. Talking about this really makes me want to finish the series
I think you should go for it, Fiveman's a classic in my book.

And the best OP evar!

I dropping then picking up this series. I've seen 10 eps.

It's really good though. Love there changers:buttrock:

wow, I was listening to Fiveman's OP when I came across this thread.
although I've only seen about 5-6 eps of it, I think it's pretty cool series.
it's also unique for their changers to differ based on their gender.

Fiveman is one of my fave sentai. I like the idea of sibling sentai. Just finished Magi so I think that I'll look forward in seeing GoGoV which is indeed another sibling.

Best OP & ED song so far. :buttrock:

Fiveman wasn't a bad series or anything it's just there are so many more BETTER Sentai shows you could invest ur time and money into instead.

Check out Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, Liveman, Jetman, or Dairanger. You won't be dissapointed.

hey, thanks a ton guys!! hmmmm... never been a big fan of sibling teams though, just something about it just puts me off but I have done that with other shows and regretted it (need to apologize about what I said about blade. even with cards it's pretty awesome.) since I know there are epi. going around, I'll look for the first five and see if I dig it or not. hope I do, you guys seem to like it.

I understand what you mean, but the thing is, I've already seen or have the one you mentioned. the only one I haven't watched yet of the above mentioned is liveman and I'm planning on popping it into the DVD player soon. of the ones ya mentioned I loved all of them except changeman, I just liked it, didn't love, and I don't expect Fiveman to be as good as them, but just hoping it's worth the money or not. I went and bought dekaranger without thinking and regretted it ever since.>:(

Ya Deka is a bit of a slut.

FiveRed has a few amazing fight scenes. That's all that's really memorable for me. Especially the theme song AND Shubalie/Green Flash.

Overall I thought Fiveman was an OK series. Nothing more nothing less. If you asked me if I thought anything was wrong with the series then I probably say that nothing was wrong. I had fun watching it. It just seemed to miss something.
