Just finished the series.
First of all, this series doesn't deserve to be looked down upon the way it has. Everything about it is great. The only downside is that it had somewhat of a comedic stretch, but personally I think the good completely out weighed it.
The were amazing, the suits, weapons and mecha were sick.
Some great notable things are how it is obviously our first 90's Sentai series. Our first family team, and what is just beyond awesome, it is our first and last time we got two separate changers for each gender. (I knew this long ago, but the impact wasn't as great since I didn't watch it) The 'V Changer' for the males and 'V Changer Compacts' for the females. The compact being the first necklace changer as well. These both are extremely well designed. I'm actually bidding on both as we speak, hopefully I win.
This show is great because it has a mix of the 80's and starts a trend for the 90's, as far as music, mecha, clothes, etc. Speaking of clothes, I realized at ep.7 that Remy and Fumiya wear the same clothes. lol
This cast is surprisingly a memorable one. Only thing is Kazumi looks and acts like a mom..this is somewhat expected for the older sister, but at the same time she is like the epitome of Pink senshi cliches. So that's a bit annoying.
Green Flash....wow. What a great villain performance, I was very surprised.
Billion had a great color scheme, and I liked his sword.
Doldora delivered a great last performance, very nice.
Gingaman.... That is awesome. I wish I saw the cast faces, if/when they heard about the next Sentai series in 1998.
I hated the puppets after their first 2 appearances also, but thank goodness Toei pulled the plug on them before I snapped.
This is overall a very solid series, and can fight with the best of them. I say it's up there with Flash and Change etc..shoot I think I can say it's better then Maskman.
So maybe top 5, definitely a top 10 though. I enjoyed this a lot.
