1, 2, 3, 4, 5! FIVEMAN!! - Thoughts and Opinions

Kivat, I am so gonna kick your butt. :loltongue:

I said I think! lol

Btw, to me this is the best family Sentai. I really like Magi, but it doesn't hold much against Fiveman.

Also...I don't think anyone realized this, but the Fiveman have one of the best reasons to fight a villian. When I say that I mean, other teams don't usually have a personal reason like they do. Their parents were presumably killed by these guys at a young age, and they come back not only to prevent it from happening to other people, but for a little drop of revenge as well.

I need to see this subbed.

I dunno, I always felt like Fiveman completely forgot what it was going for. Like, I feel like the themes of family often got forgotten. Which is why I personally found GoGoFive and Magi to be much more solid seasons. And which is why Remi was my favorite Fiveman, cause I feel like she was more involved with the actual themes of the story. In fact, I think she should've been the overall main character.

I love remy. She's hot, in a tomboyish way and her focus eps were the best. Especially, the Kung-Fu ones. I really like both of the twins. Fumiya being my favorite of the dudes. I also liked his haircut, it was awesome. lol You don't see that type of "hair exploration" back in the day in Sentai.

Yeah, Remi is awesome.

I thought Fumiya was alright. His focus eps were neat. Though I personally think he really needed a few more focus eps.

Gaku seems like your typical serious Red leader. He had some pretty cool focus eps. But I wish he could've done a bit more of what wasn't already done by previous reds.

Ken was... eh. Honestly, I found him to the most boring character in the show. I felt like he didn't have much personality, or was really involved in any plots that stood out. :P

Kazumi was an okay character. I felt the same about her as I did with Fumiya.

I agree about Ken...I always thought he had an annoying smile at times also.

Gaku's best focus ep, I believe was fifteen. When he was training in the abandon car lot. I finally saw some great emotion from him in that ep. His nice side was too generic. But at the same time, I don't think he was your typical nice Red of that time period. I'm not sure how to explain it.

I like Ken the most. :( I mean, c'mon, he took down a monster w/o transforming and another time he took down a enlarged monster in human size! also, does anybody find the Five Tectors to be totally pointless? they hardly look like they really need it for more power.

They are useless. lol and I feel like I know exactly why they barely used them. Which is because Toei didn't want to take away the essence of the original suit. A simple reason, but I can believe that because back then they weren't big on power-ups at all, obviously.

Probably just a little pride thing maybe. If they win using the Five Tectors, then the Five Tectors won, not the Fiveman. Haha I don't know.

Btw those Ken episodes were great, and showed another dimension to him...but what about the other 46 episodes? lol He didn't really have that tough resilience in many eps. He was just there...smiling...

Honestly, I think the only time Ken ever stood out to me was in that ep when he punched that monster, out of suit, and demolished him. THAT was bad ass. Other than that, Ken isn't very memorable to me.

Ep 15 was awesome.

For the villains...

Well, I found Meadow to be very disappointing. I expected some awesome kind of revelation of what she was. And that was something I was interested in. Turned out, she was merely a hologram. And frankly, Vulgyre was kind of a lame final villain imo. Overall, a watered down version of Bazoo from Changeman. :disappoin

Garoa is imo one of THE WORST sentai villains of all time. During the first half, he seemed menacing. But it's the second half of the show is where I completely started hating him. Honestly, I just cringed every time I had to watch him be all pathetic and unable to do anything. And this is mainly cause I thought he could've been a great villain at the start. So it was kind of a smack in the face that his character fell apart. Heck, even his rivalry with Gaku is transferred over to Billion. LAME (on Garoa's part). Oh, and his death was pretty stupid too. :redface2: Give me Giluke (Changeman) or Radiguet (Jetman) any day.

Billion was my favorite villain in Fiveman. He was just really cool. And honestly, I really enjoyed his personality. His focus eps were always awesome. Especially the one with Solar. Honestly, I wish Billion was given a bigger role in the show. :disappoin

Doldora was cool. But seemed underused. Same with Zaza. Instead, the show seemed too busy focusing on Garoa and Chevalier.

Dongoros was meh. The show would've been better off without him.

Chevalier was a decent villain. Loved how he's played by Green Flash. But I felt like he could've done a bit more. Somehow, I don't really feel like we got to fully know who he was as a character. It felt like the show was more busy showing him off as a smug character, and not really going much into the other areas of his character. Which for me, kinda slightly comes off as a bit weak compared to Ahames (Changeman) and Kiros (Maskman).

The Ginga Sentai Gingaman were... LAME. Honestly, I felt like the show could've done so much more with them. They could've been great rivals for the Fiveman. Especially since they stuck around the whole season. Quite a missed opportunity imo. And the way they got killed was just... :redface2:
