I liked his original burn victim voice in the first trailer better BUT... I like this one too, he sounds evil. Hopefully this movie will restore some badassery into the Freddy Krueger name and from the looks of this trailer it just might do that.

I think that one Asian guy in the beginning of the trailer was also in the Jason remake.

As do I, but I'm still looking forward to this movie. I don't really get why people get upset about remakes (I know there's a lot of bad remakes, but there are good ones too:disappoin) I think fans should be happy that there's going to be a new film in the franchise, and if it sucks... it sucks, plain as that. But untill we see the end results, I think we should be happy:sayin:

the only thing that worries me is that the scenes are "too familiar" to the old school freddy. "Why the hell is that a problem?" Barashin might ask me. (I asked it for you sir! I asked it for you...)

Some of the scenarios are taken verbatim from the older movies. That's bad for me because, no matter what you do, the new scenes will likely never be as shocking or horrifying as they originally were back then. They become watered down immitations in this movie with loud screaming.

Im still gonna check this movie out because I was a huge nightmare fan growing up. But i was kind of hoping they would have taken a risk with this remake. Tried something a little more invetive or imaginitive with the mythos andor special abilities that Freddy displays.

So far, all I see is another gore flick where Freddy doesnt morph or do anything other than stabby stab stab.

Though, gore flicks are fun to watch, it sucks when there aren't anymore "scary movies" or "thrillers" anymore. No one tries to honestly scare anyone without resorting "sudden loud noise/scream".
