I dread the "This movie's so much more EPIC and DARKER and SCARIER than the original! Robert Englund sucked!" comments that will pop up everywhere.

Impossible. Anyone who even says that will be stabbed.

Nothing beats the original. Just like all the other remakes, they can be badass as **** but they can NEVER beat the original.

So I bought the Elm Street Blu-ray and NECA's remake Freddy figure from Ebay and am awaiting them to arrive in the mail. I got a sick Freddy display that'll make Shougo's vagina moist.

MEZCO did a few of those Freddy's and they look like garbage. Only NECA and McFarlane can do good Freddy's. Luckily, MEZCO did a great job with Jason from 3,4,6,9.

NECA is ur friend. The McFarlane Fred from movie 1 is probally still the best looking Freddy fig of all time, I'm lucky that I got it mint in package.


For Elm st. Heroes... I'd like a Cort/Winnabgo sex boxed set lol... the black chick from pt.6's head comes with the Jason 6 fig if that counts haha. But a Nancy fig would rock.

Im hoping NECA releases **** like that. The only boxed sets they've done is the Freddy vs. Jason one and the Ms. Vorhees head shrine from Pt.2

It is gorgeous in person. Trust me.

But ya, a few sets could come out from all of the Jason movies. I'd like one of a staircase with Jason attacking whats her name, while Corey Fieldman is standing on the stairs with a shaven head.

I'd also like one of those demons dragging Jason to hell from pt.9

I'm still not 100% behind the idea of a remake, especially of such a well-known and highly-regarded classic, but I don't think they could have done any better than casting Jackie Earle Haley. The guy and his acting style are tailor-made for picking up the role. That being said, the movie itself actually looks surprisingly OK from the promotional footage I've seen so far (not that that really means anything), and I plan on seeing it when it comes out. Hope it will be a pleasant surprise.
