Disney buys Marvel

Now that Disney bought Marvel, I'm extremely concerned about The Punisher franchise. He's one of my favorites because he uses all types of guns and violent weapons to fight crime and he's like an R-rated anti-hero.

How will Disney handle that when they have never made a single R-rated movie in the history of their business?

U know what. I just thought of this. What if. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight gets so big that the production in charge of Dragon Knight will continue to do Faiz or Den-O or Agito and then in the year 2018 or so, God forbid, Disney then will buy out those guy and then They'll Do Kamen Rider too.

They will not buy because they're not interested in adapting another Tokusatsu, especially after they just cancelled Power Rangers.

I know what will happen! Marvel characters in the next Kingdom Hearts game! :anime:

i will puke immediately on hearing it..... hell if that happens they might as well throw zack efron in a iron fist costume....

can't say i'm too excited about this takeover, but ike perlmutter did it. but please god no kingdom hearts in my marvel... it'd be like pouring a wine cooler in a glass of whiskey; bad all around.

At least one good thing will happen.

Disney will probally not allow Mepsisto in to the Marvelverse. So no more selling marriges to the devil for Spidey.

Bad Santa?

I got the news from a friend this afternoon.

I'm rather surprised by the news! Yeah, fans are afraid that Disney's going to make Marvel's characters into over-the-top singing characters, team up with Mickey Mouse, Hannah Montana and such.

On the other hand, I'm not that worried about it. This is most probably what many other "hardcore" fans were fearing, that Disney will water down the decadent grimdark crap they were enjoying the past 2+ decades. If (and I mean IF; doesn't necessarily mean it will happen) Disney makes the characters more family-friendly, without sacrificing the founding concepts they were based on, it won't bother me. I think Disney can do it well. Bolt was a step back in the right direction.

If Joe Quesada indeed contemplates leaving Marvel, that will make my day.
