Choushinsei Flashman, Flash Watch!

Was that his real mother though? There was a picture of someone who looked like Bun in her house, but was it just a coincidence?

The impression that I got was that the picture was in a shrine and so her son had died, probably not too long ago, so when Bun shows up looking just like him she became very attached to him and with his strong desire to have a mom he became attached to her. So, it's similar to what Maskman did with Akira and his mom, but there are differences.

Anyway, episode 35 proved much better than I'd figured it would be based on the preview for it; it managed to be funny, awesome, and even a little emotionally affecting in that little scene where Jin was playing on the piano. Good episode all around.

Yes, exactly.

Okay, I just finished episode 37, and apparently Dai's friend Sumire was dead all along, and if I'm reading her grave right she died back in 1961, 5 years before Dai had even been born, so she wasn't his little sister by any measure. Also, she apparently had a chunk of the Green Star prism rock, but otherwise I am lost. If anyone can clarify just what was the connection between Dai and Sumire, that would be awesome.

My english is terrible, but let´s go:

Sumire was born in 1964 and died in 1978, in a car accident. The connection between her and Dai was originated by the Green Star´s rock, found by Sumire when she was a child. After her death, Sumire´s mother buried the rock with your daughter.

Great (and sad) episode. Kunio Fujii was a fabulous writer.

Thank you RicardoCerdeira, that clarifies things greatly.

Anyway, I've just finished episode 40, and I really liked Shibel or however you're supposed to spell her name and I wish she'd been in more episodes, she was really awesome.

And now I've finished episode 41, where Setsuko suddenly remembers that her and Dr. Tokimura's abducted baby was a girl instead of a boy. I have to admit, this does seem more than a little clumsy, how does one misremember something like that for 20 years?

Well, that would work, but then that just raises the further question of why Mess would alter the Tokimuras' memories instead of keeping them around for experimentation. Oh well, hopefully the remaining episodes will clarify matters.

But not episode 42, since Mess destroys the floppy disc that Sara was investigating for clues about the Tokimura baby abduction. Also, they put our heroes through old-school video game scenarios, which I thought was awesome. Oh, and Crowler has gotten Keflen to fall out of favor with Ra Deus. Busy episode I have to say.
