Choushinsei Flashman, Flash Watch!

Yeah, I'm up to episode 26 and it does seem to be the case that whenever the team is out among Earth people they wear Earth people clothes, and while that does make sense I still far prefer the Flash outfits. Oh well, it's not a big deal.

Also, if Flashman ends up with a sillier episode than 26, I will be very surprised.

Oh god, ep 26.

My favorite bit from that episode was when Crowler and his Alien Hunters showed up dressed like chefs and armed with forks and knives...only to throw all of that away five seconds into their appearance, that is just incredibly hilarious to me.

Anyway, now I'm up to episode 28, a very important one where not only do our heroes manage to kill Ley Galus, which required two shots of the Rolling Vulcan and a nice play on the stock footage for the giant robot sword finish, but it also seems that Jin is beginning to feel the effects of the Anti-Flash Phenomenom. Personally I wasn't expecting that to come into play until the mid 30's at earliest, so hopefully Flashman will be able to maintain that sense of urgency for the rest of its run.

I have finished episode 31; this was a really good run of episodes, both Wanda and Nefel got impressive power-ups, our team was losing its powers, and Dr. Tokimura is a totally awesome dude and is now BFF with Mag, as all right thinking people should be.

I do have a couple of questions; in the middle of the episode Dr. Tokimura's daughters left their home and I'm wondering why beyond just so that Mess could target them and further imperil our heroes, and what exactly happened to restore everyone's powers at the end when the timer was counting down? If anyone could help me with this I would be super thankful.

Kaori and Midori were worried about Dr. Tokimura; they don´t believe in doctor´s memories about a alien abduction.

Flashman´s weakness was caused by an alignment of Flash planets.

.

The planetary alignment annulled the Flashman´s powers. When the planets come back to their normal orbits, the heroes had their strength restored.

Thank you; so that means that the Anti-Flash Phenomenon hasn't come into play yet, and our heroes now think that this was the great weakness that Balaki was trying to warn them about. Hoo boy, it's not going to be pretty when they find out the truth about that.

Anyway, episode 32 was really awesome, because cheap and dated the effects were it was great seeing everyone using their improved powers. Once again, Mag is a genius robot.

to be honest, I didn't quite liked the power up the team got... it was too flashy (no pun intended) for me and it happens every time they do a role call. :disappoin but yeah, dated effects are waaay better than the CG effects of today. like that hilarious cartoony fire effect...

Episode 34 was really nice for me, because it was kind of a thematic follow-up on that much earlier episode with the balloons where Bun is musing on what growing up with his Mom would have been like; it was very reminiscent on the way Maskman handled its focus episodes for Akira/Blue Mask.
