Choushinsei Flashman, Flash Watch!

Dr. Tokimura will be a recurring character throughout the series and he was revealed to be one of the Flashman's father near the finale, so keep a close watch on him. :)

I haven't gotten that far yet, please don't spoil things for me beyond what I already am.

Actually, there's an episode where the Zyurangers get part-time jobs that kind of addresses this. Emphasis on the "kind of," as Zyuranger never really stops being completely surreal.

And this reminds me of why it is so important to not speak definitively on a series that I've not seen all the way through.

In any event, episode 9 ends as one would expect, Dr. Tokimura unable to reach the right moment in time and thus his kid remains abducted, though I do have to wonder why they kept showing clips of the Olympics. Also, I liked that they took advantage of the Cosmo Sword being deployed separately to break themselves out of the monster's prison dimension. That was nice.

And with Episode 12 we kick off the rivalry between Jin and Ley Wanda with a bang; seriously, with this kind of set-up this could end up being one of my favorite if not most favorite sentai rivalries ever.

Though I am wondering why Lee Keflen was so mad at Wanda and why he told him about his origins as a lab experiment. Anyone got any answers on that?

I don't remember that specific scene, but Wanda thought of himself as such a superior lifeform and then Keflen revealed he was created from unremarkable animals.

Okay, I think I get it now, Keflen thought Wanda was getting too arrogant and decided to cut his ego down to size, that makes sense.

Also, I'm up to episode 14 now; 13 was good but I felt that Sara should have had a bigger role, like what happened with Tsurigi and Sayaka in Changeman episode 19, and 14 was just good solid fun, though I can't help but feel that Nefel didn't even need to bother about the disguise this time around, it's almost like she dons them just because she can.

Up to episode 19 now, and Sir Crowler is damn impressive, managing to take down the Flash King and forcing the team to figure out a way to defeat his monster without killing it. Sara's focus episode could have been better, but the three-part sequence with the Hero Titan, Ley Baraki, and the Flash Titan mecha was nothing but solid gold.

Kaura is an amazing villain. The Flashman know that Kaura holds all the secrets to their past. The villain is shrouded in so much mystery that made me want to keep watching to find out what would happen next or if anything would be revealed. Kaura has the potential to go in so many different directions it's really fascinating. God, I just love this conflict between Flashman and the Alien Hunters. It makes everything a really powerful personal battle! God I love this show! :D

The thing for me about Sir Crowler is how unkempt he looks, it puts me in the mind that at some point he's just going to snap and start snarling and frothing at the mouth and maybe grab Jin and use him as a club to beat the other members of the team with.

Anyway, I just finished episode 20 and I'm wondering if that girl who Dai thought could be his little sister is going to show up again, because the way they ended things definitely left room for followup.

Spoiler:
[HIDE]Yes. Sumire will appear again, in episode 37[/HIDE]

Ha! I just finished episode 24, and they brought back that one monster that the team didn't actually kill but instead had shrunk inside a pill and swallowed by a fish. Nice.

Also, I'm noticing that over the past few episodes that the team has been wearing Earth people clothes instead of Flash people clothes; I guess in addition to dropping wacky fish-out-of-water plots, they're also ditching the outfits as well?
