Oh that's a real riot. :laugh: Like I said once before, Ohranger in its schitzophrenia is still more entertaining than Pseudo-samurai Sentai Shinkenger Origami-that-don't-even-fold-up Commercial. A great soundtrack and action director(s) will do that...

Ohranger is one of the weakest 90s Sentais, yet in the most painful of ironies has one of the best premises. (So does Zyu, by the way). Even after the show devolves into a "let's just get through the year" format with little plot, you can still see in certain episodes the show's true nature, as the writers intended it to be. Imagine what Oh would have been had Toei not had to drastically change things up, thanks to reality. The villains...... well I won't spoil it for you, but it's not something most Sentais do.

Dorin is annoying, yet ditzy Megumi, useless Natsumi, and vinegar binge-drinking Akiko aren't? Dorin is innocently cute. Which is more than I can say of other, more recent kid characters. Amane comes to mind...

And when was it said she was Riki's sister? I thought he was just her guardian.

maybe he doesnt know because he's watching the raw series. good thing i had a little background in japanese and a lot of friends who know japanese.

I'm also watching raws. Not once does Dorin ever refer to Riki as "Ni-san", "Aniki" or any honorific ascribed to an elder brother. She just calls him Riki. Dorin is related to the Choriki/Tetrahedron Power, and Riki the child king safeguards her.

Yeah Saban did alot of stupid things. You should see some of Riki's civilian form fight scenes.

The little girl who appeared in Ohranger episode 19 & 21, had previously been on Kakuranger episode 47.

Megumi is a strong woman, who actually had a goal in the show, and achieved It....and she was damn sexy.

Now here's my problem, I back you up in the Decade arguments, and I even say I don't like Decade...yet you think I like Natsumi. If I'm not mistakin you held out longer on Decade then I did. I dropped that **** at episode 14. I mean please don't assume things.

Ok, Akiko brings out the vinegar, like twice, and your holding that against her? :laugh: Besides that tho, she can be funny. We still have to know where Toei takes her though.

dorin is cute, but Ohrangers been having an Over Dose of little kids in almost every episode, so seeing her, get out of pyramider, in an unknown planet searching for King, made me tick. lol I know she's little and worried. But We just had a little kid in W, a Kid in shinken (but he was tolerable) and all over "Oh" so I'm tuckered out from babysitting, by watching a show. lol

I didn't even know how she was connected to him, Riki was worried and stressed to the fullest trying to protect her, when he finished obliterating the monster, he not only ran to dorin, picked her up, and gave her a hug...but he did that **** in Slow Motion too. lol Anybody would think It was his little sis.

I wouldn't call women who act so self-righteous against a certain force only to be beaten around like a punching bag in almost every confrontation "strong". It must be a family trait, since Yuri was essentially the same.

As for "sexy"? Well.... she's not ugly. But Nana Yanagisawa looked better in her one episode of Boukenger than in all her screentime in Kiva. Gaudy fashion and being useless eye candy gets wearisome after a while.

They were never on another planet, assuming I understood that episode correctly.

As for all the kids, they seem to be recurring guest stars since they appear a lot as the same characters. It's just part of Toei hastily lightening up the show. Though Ep. 29 wasn't so bad as far as kids go, at least in the opening. You see Juri with her nephew and Shouhei making food. They almost look like a young married couple. Heck, I probably semi-mimicked two of my Hell Rider characters after them....

Not if you listened to the dialogue and read the info sites. As I said, she never refers to him as "Brother".

I wouldn't call women who act so self-righteous against a certain force only to be beaten around like a punching bag in almost every confrontation "strong". It must be a family trait, since Yuri was essentially the same.

Oh yeah, she got her ass whipped alot (I wish it was literally) but yeah, she sucked. It did get really annoying, trust me. but It was all for her mother and her fight with rook was amazing. So, I guess I admired that.

I really liked that scene, shouhei is funny. Him and juri make a good couple, even though there not. I loved the episode when they all turned bad except juri, not only was I about to faint, from seeing momo in a bikini, but they're evil performances where great.

I never liked kids in Sentai or any other toku, cuz It always seems like they're yelling when they talk. "ONEE-CHAN!" When the guy is right in front of them.

That brings up something I don't take to well with sentai, The senshi are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to gullible. They get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to emotionally attached to random people. That's why they get fucked up badly sometimes.

Oh that's what you do first? Well I don't read up on my stuff until I'm into the show, plus I don't read alot so I don't stumble on a spoiler.

Kivat, what do you think of the mecha battles? Are they 10x better than the ones today?
