Don't get me started on the PRJF/Gekiranger footage splicing. I should sue Disney for almost blinding me.

I hate to tell you this but JF didn't used that much Gekiranger footage other then the special affects and the megazords battle, that why the gekiranger footage looks so stretched in to fit S.D since gekiranger was filmed in H.D.

I thought it would have been cool if Saban kept the footage of Kingranger lifting his tights before beating the **** out of the Cogs, I mean that is just fucking cool and a half.

He would have been short and read what would happened if they did.

yeah, and in some footage, i rmeember mr. ticklesneezer, you can see the boy he made big in zyuranger behind megazord/daizyujin for a brief second in mmpr. i remember as a kid, i noticed that some of the sentai footage looked like it was filmed in the same quality as blaxploitation and godzilla.

MMPR S1 & PRT are notorious for footage "**** ups" involving Japanese characters doing brief cameos on our tv sets.

i remember in 4th grade, we were learning about japan and also learned about tokyo tower and the shinkansen and in the original footage, i recognized what i learned lol.

but anyway, i was 9 when all that stuff was happening and i slowly watch it.

i think saban's masked rider has a scene with "dex" on the hood of a car and it's actually the original japanese actor.

I think until Gaoranger, Super Sentai and Tokusatsu in general was filmed in 17mm.

I don't agree, my eyes tell me that Super Sentai was shot primarily on film (16mm or 35mm I can't tell) until Go-onger, with the exception of a few shots here and there. Shinkenger was the first Sentai shot entirely on video (HD in that case).

Why the change around the time of Gao then? Well, maybe they changed film stock (or went from 16mm to 35mm), but I doubt it. My theory is they changed their editing equipment in order to transition to an entirely digital workflow.
