All I've ever heard is that these were the mechs that might have gone with Zyu2.

I can't translate it, but I can confirm those are the Zyu2 mechs.

Instead cheap Saban went with the DaiRanger mechs.

Sorry Sage, you are very, very wrong. These images are indeed real. They came from the Japanese book "Super Sentai Art Collection: Sentai Robo Hen 1975-2002" published by Media Works (I own two copies). According to the book, Saban commissioned Toei to design new Zords, which were subsequently never made. This includes Zords for PRIS as well. Presumably, the book does not explore why, these Zords were not realized due to Saban's budgetary concerns.

Yes, actually these were made the same time that the Zyu2 suits and the Zyu2 Monsters were made. In fact, Toei was also commissioned for the continued battles for Saban which included more scenes that had Blue(billy) as the brains of the operations, More scenes where Green and Pink(tommy and kimberly) were more "close". And that meant they had to go to the people who created the monster suits. These are all real, I believe that there is a website, could be wiki, or another, looking for these schematics to post onto their site for proof of Zyu2 possible mechs.

Yep, I recall seeing this a few years ago aswell.

It would have been awesome to have these mecha for the Zyu2 footage. Althought seeing Dinosaur themed mecha combining with a White Tiger is a bit off.

Nonetheless we ended up with the Kaiden Juu/Thunderzords.

It might've made S2 a totally different season though. After all, Tommy was the only one who got an upgrade in power, so I don't really think the rest of them should've gotten totally NEW zords, just give the old ones an overhaul. Would've been fun to see.

I'd like to post some stuff from this book, but there are so many cool pages of original design sheets, NG design sheets, etc. that are just crammed into this book -- which is over 100 pages of nothing but color and b&w illustrations. It would just take up too much time, plus my scanner is on the fritz right now... sorry. I do have an extra copy of that book for that I can sell, though.

This prolly would of Made Power Rangers something that Sentai would of looked up to, and then used those newly made scenes of Zyu2 with Zyu2 Mechs as part of a Zyu Ranger Movie Comeback. Man. That would be a trip.
