Anime vs. Tokusatsu

I saw someone say all anime's the same?

Guys.................... c'mon now.

Seriously.

You're telling me there's a bigger difference between GARO and Kamen Rider Kiva, than there is between Macross Frontier and GTO?

Well, yeah. but I didnt really mean EVERY anime. I was just generalizing. There are always exceptions. GTO is a "funny" anime, and therefore closer to all other funny anime than Macross (I suppose, I've never seen Macross).

But you gotta admit, if you look at Duel Masters, then Yugioh, or either of those and look at Prince of Tennis. Or look at Naruto and then DBZ, or Ruroni Kenshin and nearly every feudal era anime (even to a lesser extent, ninja scroll) INCLUDING Inuyasha. Or look at Gundam and nearly every other Big Robo anime. You cant tell me they arent all the same. Its why I stopped watching anime. It was awesome the first time, then after I saw the exact same show with completely differnt cover, it got really boring really fast.

But they're all the same like all Tokusatsu is the same.

Almost even less so. The similarity between pretty much any Tokusatsu is far more close than say a mech anime like Macross is to Gurren Lagaan or even Neon Genesis.

I don't like one more than the other. I just enjoy what's good to me and that's about it.

Just cuz I dig Kiva doesn't mean I enjoy Macross Frontier or One Piece any less.

That is true I guess. Whatever entertains you entertains you. This thread probally wasn't a good idea BUT.... I guess we have to show maturity about this and respect everyones opinion and not turn it into a "My show is better then yours".

Sorry if I was sounding all high and mighty, dont get me wrong, there are some anime out there I happen to enjoy (Bible Black, Bleach, and Tengou Tenge among them) but I just think anime is much more fun.

Like I said, with toku you know you will get at least one Henshin, one good fight, and if youre a Sentai fan, on big robo battle in every episode. Plus all the normal angst and character development in as well.

Go watch Kamen Rider Black and tell me if you seen ANYTHING remotely badass as that.

No idea. But you'd have to watch the ENTIRE series. I've got the HK DVD set, not sure whomelse here has it. I think a fansub group is also releasing episodes but you'd have to check the Downloads section to confirm.

Trust me. Once you got Black you don't go back.

It's all based on opinion, I personally think both has there good qualitys. Comparing both on which is better seems kinda childish...
