My friends in Tokyo are already going back to work, most of its buildings are made to withstand strong Earthquakes so it wasn't really that devastated when compared to Sendai. So I guess they need to work in order to gain the money needed for the country to recover.

this makes me feel ashamed of my own country. my mum told me about it on the way home from Japanese class. I am disgusted by this.
also, my mum went to the money changer to ask if the Yen rate will drop and what was the fucker's reply? "Pray for another earthquake."

Phew. My gf contacted me yesterday. Turns out that her house survived the tsunami. She is currently housing up to 15 people. They are waiting for the rescue team to come. Thank goodness.
