2011 Super Sentai-35th Anniversary- Changer/Theme Ideas Thread

But, since we are throwing around ideas here, I would like to see the team transform into their own mechas like Magiranger again

I always found this aspect of Magiranger extremely unsettling. I couldn't explain why, but where people piloting robots is awesome to me, people turning into robots is getting into body horror territory.

Ey ey ey! There will be no ditto's against me in my thread. :shakefist

Yes, some individual humanoid mech would be great again, if they're gonna go old school and have tackleboy type robos again, they might as well go that route also.

Uhh KR team-ups should never happen again. They're totally different shows, so even thinking about it..to me doesn't make sense.

In that case we should get a..uh..a Rugrats/Power Rangers team-up or something.

lol

Oh, I dunno, the Shinkenger/Decade crossover was fun.

I could see doing like a 20-minute crossover special once a year.

Fun is great, but I don't like things interfering with a series' run.

Even though last years didn't mess up Shinkengers story exactly, but it did start going sour since then...and genta....genta did help anything.

I have a "dark horse theory" that the Sentai 35th anniversary and Kamen Rider 40th anniversary are going to celebrate together via crossover.

There's this feeling in my stomach that there will be some kind of Anniversary VERSUS movie from the 35th anniversary Sentai that will crossover ALL RIDERS with ALL SUPER SENTAI SQUADS.

I can picture it now.........

Some reincarnation of Shocker/Gel-Shocker/Neo-Shocker/Dai-Shocker/Super Shocker will enter the world of the Super Sentai team for the 35th anniversary year and attempt to conquer it.

The 35th anniversary team gets their asses kicked and recruits all the past Sentai teams to help out, and they do. All the Super Sentai teams join forces, but ultimately get their asses handed to them by this "Shocker reincarnation."

All of a sudden, that dimensional wall thingy appears with both Kamen Rider Oz and Kamen Rider Decade jumping out of the wall to offer the Sentai teams some help. Next thing you know, the epic motorcycle sounds of Ichigo, Nigo, and V3 is heard with them jumping out of the wall with the rest of the Rider universe appearing behind them (like in All Riders/Daishocker).

Then of course, a clusterfuck orgy of chaos ensues.

Like I said, this is a "dark horse theory"/Dream Scenario........don't kill me

The Senshi don't need help from the Riders. ...Well. Maybe Agito's and Kuuga's. Kabuto too, I guess.

Why, after Decade, must we get everyone togethe rinto a huge clusterfuck war thing? Whatever happened to the good old days where the celebration was the actual series being a bit different with extra effort on top.
Not some auto-fan pleaser button pressed.

Onore Decade!

... Seriously... Narutaki is becoming more of a hero to me the more I read this thread.

You say that like Decade was good fanservice. It was awful. And its not a constant thing either. Shouldn't Sentai have a chance, too?

The good old days HAD everyone fighting together. Oh, you mean Sentai? Isn't the lack of a real big reunion a greater reason to do it?

Every year, there's a new standalone series completely independent from everything else, even in the anniversary years. Why not attempt something different for once?

I don't see how what he said implies that Decade had good fanservice...

Anyway, I just hope next year we don't end up getting some even more obvious "Ganbaride Sentai" promo. Like, a show that only references the previous titles by reusing costumes and props through card summons used by the heroes and villains.

To some people, Decade's take on AUs was seemingly just as bad, but I could accept that. However, I'd be really annoyed if next year's show ended up wasting a crossover opportunity with a generic concept like that.
