Now that I think about it....Goukaiblue's visor kinda looks like the doubledriver. :L

The shape and colouring of the GoukaiGun seems similar to MantanGun from Go-Onger.

I'm glad somebody else has seen the resemblance.

I'm surprised they opted to go for green over black for a pirate theme. Black and gold seem like appropriate choices, but the Japanese have never made sense to me.

Does anyone know anything about additional rangers? I get my hopes up every time, but an orange ranger seems like it would fit into this look and theme.

Since you mention black and gold, I personally can see either of those two being the color for an additional warrior (or "warriors" if it happens to be more than one).

Pink reminds me of Hououranger and Yellow's like Goseiyellow

I love the flintlocks and cutlasses! :thumbs: And I'm glad the collars aren't as huge as I was fearing. Any bigger and it'd look like they were trying to go for a Vampire Sentai. :laugh:

Why would they want to go for black over green on the show meant to celebrate the franchise? The color choices are clearly meant to invoke Goranger, as are the visors Red and Pink being the most overt. Liberties are taken with the other to accommodate the hat design, such as Blue's being flipped.

they look like Super Shinkengers to me and note the same mouthpieces as the Shinkengers.

I was thinking the same thing too. Exact same design.

I simply would like another team with 1 smart girl like Kakuranger or Timeranger, rather than the same thing we have been getting for the past years.

Fair enough. 1 smart/badass girl over 2 idiots.

Ladies and gentlemen; the first pictures for the 2011 Super Sentai have arrived. Thank dukemon22 for putting them up

There one thing I'm suprised about in this picture and that is for the sixth year in a row, there will be no male yellow ranger. Is anybody getting tired of this and would like to go back to the original format? I know I want to go back to that format.

By the way, looking at the suits, I believe the suit actors are the following:

Gokai Red = Hirofumi Fukuzawa
Gokai Blue = Yoshifumi Oshikawa
Gokai Green = Yasuhiro Takeuchi
Gokai Pink = Hitomi Sanae
Gokai Yellow = Mizuho Nogawa or Miwa Hashiguchi

I'm guessing on Yellow 'cause I'm really not sure at this time which is which but I do know one thing; if I'm right about these suit actors then this could the same ones from Shinkenger last year and also this could mean that Yuichi Hachisuka who was Gosei-Pink has been put either put aside or is going to be a suit actor for another character which we will find out in the upcoming weeks.

Like a moron, I made edits not realizing my post was at the bottom of the page.

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to NOT use black. It's a natural color to use for pirate suits, and it would make a drastically different suit than the rest if it were one of the five.

I can't help but notice the third consecutive season of non-specific pant colors. Black for everyone, then white, now black again?

I'm still hoping for an evil black ranger since an all black suit would look menacing... Though it might conflict with the idea for past black rangers...
