Super Sentai is dead... long live Universe Heroes!

Seems like Gozyuger is the final series in the Super Sentai franchise. It's being replaced with a new one called Universe Heroes. This is exciting news because it's now the perfect time to end a franchise that has lasted 50 years. It also means no set formula, anything goes,

Given how far in the toilet Japan's birthrates have been since that economic crash in the mid 90s and how Sentai's toy sales have been declining since Gekiranger I'm surprised it took that long. Something something something it birthed Kyuranger, the best tokusatsu of all time, something something something JAKQ is still the best sentai team something something something well now I only have two series left to watch something something something Turboranger keeps title of best opening thme- Alright I can't do this. I'm numb at this point. *shrugs*

It's interesting that series is ending on 50th anniversary with Gozyuger, which is an interesting milestone to end.
Not a lot of TV shows goes for almost non-continuously for 50 years (there was break between JAKQ and Battle Fever J).
Even though Gozyuger is not a good anniversary series and had its issue with production and scandals recently, it is going to feel different once it ends...

...and replaced with Gavan Infinity as part of Project R.E.D.
I'm really conflicted and mixed about it.

First of all, why Gavan is coming back? Didn't Gavan came back between 2012~2017, with his appearance in movies, V-Cinema, and crossovers, which has gotten lackluster~lukewarm reception? It was practically a failure, where he hasn't made a come back since Space Squad, which set up for sequel/continuation.

Second, why is Gavan red? I guess they are trying to keep the spirit of Sentai, reminding that there are element of red ranger, but it doesn't have to be Gavan. It can start with Sharivan and wouldn't make different.
I'm curious what would Sharivan Infinity (if there is going to be one) color is going to be like.

Finally, my biggest issues is that why can't they start with a brand new hero for new project?
Why not circus motif or construction motif?
Why not start new universe with new and untested motif?

Overall, I think it's very lazy for Toei to start off new universe by bringing back hero from the past.
It reminds me of MMPR nostalgia pandering for Power Rangers, except lazier.
At least I know what I getting into when I watch new Power Rangers project.
Toei should be better and talented than this.
At this point, I'm looking forward to see Power Rangers Disney+ reboot and Ninja Kidz than Project R.E.D.
I could be wrong and Gavan Infinity would be successful, but I don't have much hope.
