2011 Super Sentai-35th Anniversary- Changer/Theme Ideas Thread

* A Proper Time-Travel sentai (Timeranger never really left 2000 other than the time they were in 3000)
* The mech are all different themed, one is all vehicles, one is animals, ect.
* The team will be Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Pink, the same colors Goranger used
* The 6th ranger will be white-colored
That's mostly what I'd like to see. And if Toei wanted to pull a Decade, it could be done easily in this setting.

Dimensional Sentai Hikariseiger
A 50-55 episode long series. Split into different story arcs that focus on each of the 29 other Sentai series and their struggle to clean their dimension of the Empire.
The first 10 episodes focus on the Hikariseigers as they clean the first dimension of a faction of the Empire while the next 40 episodes focus on them travelling through to different dimensions fighting the factions of the Empire. The final 10 episodes are dedicated to the final arc.
- A new five team sentai capable of travelling through dimensions
- Empire is an universal super power that have invaded the dimensions of the universe. The Hikariseigers fight to clean the dimensions from the clutches of the Empire.
- Commanders are spread around different dimensions each controlling a faction of the Empire.
- Hikariseigers using their power of light travels through the dimensions to defeat each commander and their factions and finding out information on Empire.
- Each dimension has its own Sentai team which are part of a 35 Year history. They must help each other if they are to clean the dimensions of the new enemy and learn from them on what each of their views are on what a Sentai senshi is.

If we have another season with a name from a previous Sentai in the title (Maskman did Hikari first
) people will start saying Toei ran out of ideas. Also, shouldn't just be Hikariranger or to be clever, Hikaranger?Also, you should use something that translates into two kanji. How about "Sekai Sentai Hikaranger?"
Wouldn't that be 60 episodes? That would give some of the worlds an uneven amount of time. Some would get one and others would get two.
Okay, now here you would be getting into the Decade problem and why I don't think that would be a good idea. It would be kind of worse because this would involve 5+ characters per world. You wouldn't have time to develop them all each episode. Now you could just do the All Riders route and then have just guys in suits with voice actors and no human form for the past Sentai but then you would have complaints about no acting necessary.
What would be cool though, is having the mecha have armor from previous ones. Like not transforming but like Hikari-Oh (tentative name
) wearing Shinken-Oh's helmet or attaching Abaren-Oh's drill to it's arm.I must admit, an entire team like AkaRed would be enticing to see but it seems so difficult to carry out.

I thought Decade's world jumping concept was perfect for a Heisei Rider crossover, and the only way it could be done without insulting the viewers (although some still feel insulted by its execution), but I'm not sure about Sentai...
Even though they pretty much have to be separate worlds, there's already a big continuous line of annual crossovers, which can't be just ignored. Considering that, here's my idea...
->First 10 or so episodes introduce the new team which have their own enemies. The enemies receive reinforcements from a mysterious warrior in the 5th episode.
->10th episode - It turns out that this warrior is actually member of a super villain group and it reveals itself, completely overwhelming the new team. That super villain group would have various divisions, like machine, alien and beasts. All fully original villains, not reused suits.
-> 3 or so previous Sentai teams appear to rescue the current team. After the battle, they explain the situation, about how there's an invincible evil force looming over Earth, and it's unifying various evil powers under its banner, to counter that, the previous Sentai teams joined in an unified army and were fighting a secret war against it through the years.
-> New team joins them. From that point on, almost every episode will involve the new team being sent on missions alongside one of the old teams, with the villain of the week resembling a villain of a previous series. If possible, an actor of the previous team returns to interact and give character development to the new team.
-> The initial power of that team is a fully original force, but they eventually get power up and mechas that are focused on the Sentai homage aspect, after joining the Super Sentai army.
-> Finale would involve a worldwide battle, with shots of every Sentai team fighting all over the world in separate locations (to avoid showing everyone together). At the end, every Red would team up to take down the final villain.
If they went with an idea like that, most of the time, they could just choose one Sentai member from each season and focus on them, the others restricted to suits. A few seasons probably would end up as suit only though, considering how this is Toei... Anyway, same could be applied to my idea over there.

All I want at this point is a Sentai that doesn't have "Ranger" in the name, hero designations that aren't "Insert name - Color", and an actual cast for the villains. But I doubt I would even get one of those.
No, it's because they think any superhero that transforms via a device and fights a organization of villains played largely by suit actors equals PR. While PR and American toku may have introduced many Westerners to toku, it's also perhaps irreparably damaged the genre's overall reputation. (Fortunately for me, the people I have introduced to toku have never cited "PR-like" as a reason they liked or disliked a show. I have a friend who happened to not get into Agito, but he said it's because he isn't much of an anime fan :redface2: Inaccurate as it is, I frankly would take that over him saying "It's Japanese PR")

A Sentai series dedicated in bringing ALL THE PREVIOUS SENTAI SERIES TOGETHER is not necessary at all, even if we are doing an anniversary to the franchise.
Super Sentai already has the VS. Series of movies to accomplish that task. Going the "Kamen Rider Decade" route doesn't work for Sentai as well as it does with Rider........but that's b/c Heisei Riders rarely execute crossovers with one another until Den-O and Decade came into the picture.
If you wanna crossover all the Sentai series to celebrate the 35th anniversary.......JUST DO A VERSUS MOVIE WITH THE 35TH SENTAI SERIES.
