Will past Kamen Rider and Sentai ever be released as Blu-ray?

Hey!

As you can probably guess, I am a huge W fan. So it really bothers me that the BR releases of Kamen Rider (tv) started with OOO. Especially when A to Z is on BR as well. It feels weird having the tv-series as DVD and the movies as BR to me.

So the question is, do you guys ever think that old and recent stuff will be re-released on the BR format? I kinda don't think so, but it's nice to hear some opinions about it.

Anything before Kabuto would not make sense as a bluray simply because they were not shot in HD. Maybe eventually? Some day? I'd assume no though.

I don't care if they were shot in HD or not, if they were filmed in Widescreen, they should be on BD regardless. I do hope the Sentai series of the 90s make it to BD one day so I no longer have to worry about region coding.

It is hard to say one way or another. From a money aspect, the Japanese are very greedy, just look at the recent crap that hapened to the Persona 4 anime. The Jp animation studio decided to not allow the Jp language track on the BD due to reverse importation fears since the US BD was a fraction of the price to the Jp BDs. As such, Toei would be foolish to not release the series again on BD because they will make more money (I know I would definitely buy DaiRanger, Kaku, and Car again). On the other hand, it may depend on how they release it. I mean look, it took them 10 years to get every Sentai series out on DVD, I honestly don't think BD will be the top format for that long because something new will come out around 2017. If Toei were smart about it, they would just release complete series sets on BD for like $200 each series that was before Boukenger, and then more for Boukenger+.

... From a money aspect, the Japanese are very greedy...

Go ahead, generalize an entire country because of the business practices of a company within that country. It makes your point all the more salient.
