Why is Yasuko Kobayashi so beloved?

Leaving the shallowness of "looking different" and "being dark" aside, you talk as if no one liked anything about Goseiger. No series is universally hated. Well, some get close, but still..

People still talk about it like it's the nadir of Sentai. (Some would like Gokaiger to be seen as the worst series ever, but no, I think it still has more fans than Goseiger)

Anyway, Sentai's final arcs are usually good. It's not unusual to see people that dislike a series but enjoy its last two or three episodes.

I think the writer deserves some credit for the ending arc here, even though I wish it had started earlier instead of that crap about "Pink Buster" or Ryuuji going on a date.

If Yasuko Kobayashi is so loved why do i see so much bashing and hating and bashing ( and did i mention hating? ) when it comes to Go-Busters? I don´t follow.
The question is: after Go-busters flopped, does Toei still love her?

LOL i never saw anyone lumping Gokaiger and Goseiger together, as i see it Gokaiger has a lot more fans than Go-busters and Goseiger combined. In the groups i post i was getting tired of defending Go-busters against everyone else and the second half didn´t help my case.
BUT Go-onger is still the champion of hate.

Probably. It's pretty much one flop on her resume.

Gingaman -- did well.

Timeranger -- Low toy sales, but a fan favorite.

Ryuki -- Isn't it, like, the second highest rated Heisei Rider?

Den-O -- A monster hit.

Shinkenger -- Popular.

OOO -- Sold a lot of toys.

Considering that the vast majority of Tumblr consists of female hipsters, I'd say that nullifies their opinions almost instantly

now everything makes sense!!! i always wanted to know from where lazycoconut takes all those strange and unpopular opinions that she believes to be what the fanbase thinks. so it was tumblr!! kids who post sentai and rider things there are like 12 :laugh: :laugh:

thats right, all the time i see people using Gokaiger to say Go-Busters is so much bland and boring. like everyone used Shinkenger to badmouth Goseiger. but comparisons are lame. Go-busters is bad and a failure thanks to its own flaws and not because other shows were better or whatever

Is Go-Busters really a "flop", though? I know the ratings haven't been too hot, and the toys underperformed, but I had heard that other merchandise like soundtracks, singles, and DVDs were doing well.

And it's getting 50 episodes, and wasn't cut short like JAKQ and Metalder where, which ended at 35 and 39 episodes, respectively. If Go-Busters was really a flop, I would think Toei would have stepped in sooner, and a lot more drastically than going to the kid favorite standby for the next series.

Go-busters has to be selling somewhere, because I can't imagine why Toei would give them a V-Cinema and waste time with director's cuts and cast commentaries on something nobody cared about.

A lot of that stuff might have been planned from the getgo. It looks like the home media releases were always supposed to be a little more beefy than what we usually get.

I see, sounds reasonable.
But when Go-Busters is the lowest rated series ever and even the toy manufacturer is pissed, won´t they blame someone for it? That´s how things use to work.
I would like to see interviews with the staff of Go-Busters. Do they ever address its performance?

Bandai's president said Go-Busters was a disappointment and blamed it on the show. Sooo it looks like at least on their side, they don't want to take the blame and threw it on Toei.
