Why doesn't Funimation dub Kamen Rider/SS

Why would parents raise hell over Kamen Rider Faiz out of all TV shows in the world? :eyebrow:

I mean, it's not like Takumi raped Mari in the butt or Kaiza smoked weed and encouraged kids to do so too or anything stupid like that..

Really from what I saw of Faiz there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. It just seems like you average run of the mill Heisei Kamen Rider series.

As for being dubbed completely.. well, unless there might be some Japanese gags that might be lost in translation when dubbed into English..

And yes, there's the old fashined out of synch voice..

I dropped Samurai after I've seen the very first episode of it. And everybody I know here in Russia done so.



It was same here. No ads, no site section, nothing, just "Power Rangers Samurai" on TV. And, of course, blind idiot translation. Almost nobody cares about Power Rangers here, and even less people care about Japanese originals.



YouTube and Crunchyroll can do the job. Especially Youtube, it has ads for most countries and Toei can make money from it.

I like Samurai a bit in the megasuit department and the fact that the footage SYNCS. If I never seen Shinkenger, I'd probably like it more but the whole insert of Bulk and the forced acting in some parts make it bad.

I have seen Russian "dubs" of shows and they blow. All they do is just have the voice actors over the original audio with the original voices intact if at that. The voices have no distinction and sound like they are bored to death reading them. And this is animation I watched, Futurama to be specific.

Either if it was directly adapted well or dubbed wouldn't matter as I love the story and the suits. All the better if the themes were all fully dubbed with Japanese SFX like the henshin sequences kept in there...

There are ton of things that I don't like even in the first episode. I hoped that Saban will learn something from RPM because many people here cosider it the best Power Rangers season ever.

There's the nekojiko (sp?) joke that comes up all the time when talking about how Takumi is an idiot.

im sorry, but for the life of me, i cannot understand this vague mentality. How is ruining the original? the original still exist and can be seen. People know how good it is and that wont change. Lastly, WHAT reputation??? nobody besides fans knows about the show

RPM actually got me watching it again after Mystic Force. If they brought them to do another series, I'd watch it.

But adaptations aren't anything to be afraid about. If people die in Faiz every episode, just say they got "vented" or "sent to the Shadow Realm" or that "they need to go to take a nap". IN Faiz's case, just say "They are in permanent Standby". With proper cutting you can have people die, just not on screen. Sometimes it actually makes the effect of their death far more emotional than if they are chopped up on screen.

In Avatar, Aang was shot with lightning and died on screen. How is live action different? Yu Gi Oh killed many people , they just called it the "Shadow Realm" so gonig by that, YugiOh: Enter the Shadow Realm really means "Enter the Death Games".

All they have to do is up it to TV-PG and they could do alot more.
