(Where Wraithstrike Watches) The Toku Thread

One thing I found interesting was how Arashi recognized the Science Academy Emblem, suggesting some sort of past connection with it.

Arashi's not really clever enough for Academia Island. But that didn't stop Jou. *rimshot*

My guess: Arashi has a son who was smart enough for Academia, but was killed in the Volt attack.

Arashi's actor was only 33 during Liveman... Well, he does sometimes get cast as characters who are older than he's supposed to be, but I always thought it seemed like Arashi himself wanted to go to Academia.

One of the things that bothered me in Liveman is that they never really gave more background information on Bias... We only know that he is an old f... who used to be a scientist and that he gathered brains from many other geniuses :(

As for Arashi... I loved the dude.

Liveman Episode 12: Super Genius Ashura

Oh yeah. Favorite villain in the series by far. Ashura rules. I love Death Jeopardy.

My favorite part was how Yusuke and the others played Matador with Ashura, with the theme from Carmen playing in the background and everything; totally on point and completely hilarious.

Liveman 13, Burning Steel, Colon.

It's good. It's a far sight better than a later episode about robots. But it's not great.

I personally really liked this one, both because of the great drama between Colon and the Dummyman, and how it follows up on the introduction of the Dummyman project in exactly the manner I thought it would.

And yeah, if we're thinking of the same later robot episode, hoo boy is this way better.
