The subtitle had a mistake about Dyna from M78.
Which GUIS owned up to quickly.
Still, allegorically, it's a credible theory. The producers and writers of the Heisei Ultraman series' seemed to be moving away from the multi-colored Tiga and Dyna Ultras back to the classic Showa red and silver ones. As if they wanted to recreate the classic Showa Universe without the "baggage" of past continuity, like Ultra or the Space Garrision. Possibly the last three eps of Dyna could be considered a "dry run" for this.
The evil TPC General Gondou dug up a "Dyna" type Ultra-statue that was red and silver. Then proceeded to kill the real Dyna to get another one that would be under his control. The project blew up in his face, like everything else he'd done, of course. It killed Asuka, of course, but then Asuka revived, but somehow, found himself in control of Dyna's powers for the first time, rather than just being a host. Like Gamu Takayama would do as Gaia ...
Then, when Gaia began, he first manifests as a red and silver Ultra with a gold collar. Only after Fujimiya surrenders the blue Agul powers does he get the "Gaia Supreme" form. And, even then, he has to concentrate to get it. His new default form, Gaia V2, has a gold and black collar on top of the original default form.
Then Neos and UltraSeven 21, made before Cosmos but never fully released on TV, had two AU regular Ultraman and UltraSeven, both in the classic Showa mode.
There was a temporary inversion with Cosmos, who started out as pure blue and silver, and gradually evolved the red Corona form, and the blue-red-gold Eclipse form. When Justice arrived in the latter two movies, he was more of red Ultra with black and gold.
Then Nexus came, first being a strange, all-organic silver Ultra; then evolving in the various silver-black-red forms, then evolving into Junis Blue when he acquired a younger host. Then in the final evolution, he evolved into an armored silver form that looked like a metallic version of his first form - with the addition of "wings" on his back.
After that came Max, a classic red Ultra with some very gaudy gold jewelry. Still, Nexus and Max were AU Showa Ultras.
The show, of course, finally returned to the classic Showa universe with the armored red and silver Mebius. But, for the first time, it introduced a blue and silver Ultra, apparently a different race of Ultra that resides on the same planet. And, occasionally, Mebius would get a little blue when he merged with Hikari.
Finally, we have Zero, a red and blue Ultra who's the son of UltraSeven. We haven't seen his mom yet, but since we're seeing more blue Ultras in the crowds on Ultra, plus a red and blue Ultra couple with a baby; I'm assuming he's the product of a "mixed marriage".
Now, on the cover of Saga, we have all three types of Ultras represented.
Type I: An Ultra bonded to a human host - Cosmos.
Type II: An Ultra who creates a human body for itself - Zero.
and
Type III: A human who's been bonded directly to the Light, and wields it himself - Shin Asuka/Dyna.
This is going to be fun!
