From the M78 Ultra Heroes, only Mebius & Hikari are the few rare Ultras who can change forms into Burning Brave & Arb Gear(Hunter Knight Tsurugi) form.

So, most of the M78 Ultras are stuck in one form, so to speak. Wonder why the Heisei Universe(s) seemed to be full of morphers?

well, in Tiga's and Dyna's case, you could chalk it up as a cheap ploy to sell more toys.

as for the rest, they were more like power ups than form changes, except for Cosmos, they were making forms when he didn't really need them. IMO

As to why they started using forms, I think, is because it worked in Kamen Rider Black RX.

SciFi Japan Has Saga News

Elliot Gay & Keith Aiken of SciFi Japan have posted an article about Ultraman Saga. It identifies two classic monsters from Ultraman and Ultraman Jack, and states that Ultraman Legend is coming back.

Update: Wikipedia claims Earthtron will fight Dyna.

I wonder if they too got confused or if maybe it is some new form of Legend, I ask because the only way Legend can be formed is by combining Cosmos and Justice.

Well, perhaps Justice will make an appearance as well. Or else, Tsuburaya is really going to go hardcore Calvinball here ...

And, please keep in mind that quite a few folks here can't read Japanese, so I didn't know the name of the monster Dyna was fighting on the first pictures until now. Unfortunately, iGoogle Translate doesn't work on the Japanese language on photographed posters, only on text that has been input.

The lines above the eyes looks similar to the new Ultraman from the poster for this movie..
