Thanks to the success of Ultraman Orb, Tsuburaya decided to expanded the show beyond its single planned series with a variety of mediums that included a prequel show that premiered on Amazon Prime in Japan. As we all know, prequels are often privy to contradicting stories and characters and plots that are nothing more than set pieces just so the original story can exist.
